It was the first real weekend away for Hotaru, visiting someone outside her friends who were all in her area. In fact, it was the same for Bakugou. The furthest he's ever gone is to work and back within the past five years. Clearly, he'd been missing out on a ton yet these past years went by in such a blur he could hardly find the time to be bored. With Midoriya taking Hotaru to school he doesn't need to get up as early and he could spend time making an actual breakfast. Though he wished he had time to work out - he hated how flat his stomach was, compared to when he was sixteen anyway.
They pulled up in a familiar area, they even drove past the blonde's old house. Oddly enough it looked better than when they left it. Despite that, nothing much had changed. It was the same houses, the same roads, the same stores and mostly, the same people. A few new younger faces perhaps but that was about it, "She still lives in the apartment complex?"
"Yeah... I told her I would buy her a proper house and pay for everything but she didn't want me to. I have a lot of money I do nothing with so I wanted to spend it on someone I care about but its hard when all my mother can do is worry about me.", Midoriya laughed as they pulled in front of on the the buildings, "That being said- I could also buy you a better-"
"No.", Bakugou retorted before he could even finish his sentence. Naturally it was the answer Midoriya had been expecting since Bakugou was always wanting to do things on his own.
"Thought as much."
They got out of the car, Hotaru waiting in the back to be carried like the princess she was. She beamed when she saw the surroundings, it was something new and eventful and there was much to fill her curiosities with. Bakugou was the one who lifted her out the car - as much as she wanted Midoriya to take her, she didn't complain. She loved her father just as much as she loved her favourite hero. As they walked, Hotaru busied herself with the blonde's hair, trying her best to plait what little hair he had. It was unsuccessful.
Bakugou halted just out of the view of the door as Midoriya knocked. A familiar gentle voice called out from behind it, footsteps were heard before the clicking of a lock and then the creaking of the door as it opened. Izuku smiled at his mother as he did with him. For some reason, he felt nervous to see her again. Looking towards Hotaru, he fixed her hair, she was just about as oblivious as Todoroki at this point.
"Come in! Come in!", Inko beckoned happily, "It's not often I get to see you anymore, you're always so busy..."
"Oh ah... I have a surprise for you by the way.", Izuku reached out for Bakugou's hand who gladly took it as sweaty as his palms were it wasn't like he was planning to blow anything up so naturally no one had anything to be weary of. For the time being. Bakugou peaked his head around the corner of the door, earning a happy but shocked grin from the older women. It had been only five years but age had really begun to show on her. The bits of grey peaking through her hair and a few more wrinkles than previously, she had even lost a bit of weight. A gasp left her mouth as she laid eyes on Hotaru, that caught the young girls attention, "You look like Deku!"
"I'm his mother.", she gestured as though she wanted to hold her, Bakugou was more than happy to let her. There was no one in the world that Bakugou trusted more than her.
Apart from himself obviously.
Hotaru's eyes glistened, "You can be my Nana then! That means Deku can be my Papa."
Izuku was the first one to laugh, Bakugou was more embarrassed than anything else though he didn't mind the idea. They let themselves in as Inko turned her back and walked into her own home. The first thing the blonde noticed was the All Might sign on his door, proudly proclaiming that it was both Izuku's room and the room of an avid All Might fan. He was baffled at how ugly it was though - it didn't suit the house's design or colours at all. They sat down at the table beside the kitchen, not far from them was Hotaru entertaining herself in front of the television.
