"Is he asleep?", Kirishima asked, leaning against the door frame.
"Yeah, he fell asleep not that long ago.", Midoriya muttered quietly sorting the bed covers so Bakugou would not be cold.
"This is not how I imagined meeting him again.", Kirishima sighed, ". . . I was expecting to see a kid runnin' about when we came in."
"Oh. . . yeah. Do you think he—", Midoriya began before hearing little tapping along the floor. Even Kirishima perked up.
It was followed by a loud gasp, "Deku! Deku! Deku!"
Hotaru then slapped a hand over her mouth as she slipped past Kirishima who was practically ignored. She climbed up onto the bed next to him with a grin, "Uhm. . . has Dada done something wrong. . ?"
"No, no, no.", Midoriya waved his hands about, "We're just friends of his that's all."
Hotaru gasped again, "Friends?! Dada never told me that! How dare he!"
She stomped her foot on the floor before climbing up onto the bed and shaking Bakugou vigorously. The two alphas were too late to stop her and immediately thought back to the times they suffered at the hands of his wrath for waking him up. They were more scared for Hotaru's life than their own though.
However, eventhough Bakugou stirred awake, the two heroes embraced themselves for yelling. Instinctively tensing as if they were about to get hit.
". . . What's wrong Hotaru?", Bakugou rubbed his eyes sitting up before patting his daughters head, "Are you hungry?"
"Why didn't you tell me you were friends with Deku?!", Hotaru screamed holding the poor blondes cheeks and squishing them. Bakugou only let out a pained smile whilst gently grabbing Hotaru's wrists.
". . . ah Deku?"
They were baffled. There was no yelling. Or cussing. Just plain, tired mumbles.
"Hey don't forget I'm here too. Yanno, I was besties with you in UA, Bakugou we're practically inseparable. Just cus' you ditched us don't mean we forgot you existed. . . bestie.", Kirishima winked consistently during his announcement of 'I'm your best friend and will always be so don't go forgetting me cus' I didn't forget you.' type thing.
Bakugou only slowly turned his head and squinted at him before grimacing, "Did you get f. . .– taller?"
"Well duh bestie. Short and tall is always the best bestie combo, obviously I gotta make that gap between us even bigger so we're the ultimate besties.", Kirishima proudly exclaims with his hands on his hips. Bakugou could practically see the sparkles of confidence oozing out of him.
All whilst Hotaru was trying to climb on top of Deku which he sat rather uncomfortably for. Though she found it amusing so he let it go. Of course, the dreaded 'Dada' had to ruin it for her by prying her away from him.
"Hotaru stop climbing on him.", Bakugou wrestled, playfully, with her as she wriggled about trying to get free of his grasp. Though the more she tried, the more Bakugou was inclined to use the 'terrible tickle attack' on her.
Which he did do. She immediately burst out laughing and began rolling over the bed to try get away from it, "Noooo-oooo"
Bakugou was actually quite enjoying himself; he almost forgot the other two were just standing there watching. He only realised they were still there after he pulled Hotaru onto his lap and blew raspberries on her cheek to which she seemed quite disgusted by.
"Deku– save me. Dada is being mean.", Hotaru pretended to sulk to get the greenettes attention though he just laughed and ruffled her hair. Then her eyes lit up, she bounced almost whacking her head on Bakugou's chin, "Dada, Dada! Can I show Deku my cookies?!"
"Go on then, but don't run.", Bakugou set her down on the floor as she tugged on Deku's fingers to get him to stand up.
Once they had both left the room was doomed into an awkward silence. Bakugou had nothing to say. He hadn't really wanted to see any of them. Especially Deku. It had been so long that he did not know what to say nor how to act. Does he just forget what Deku did? Should he accept his apology? Or does he not?
Kirishima and Deku seemed to have resolved their issue so maybe he should pretend like it didn't happen?
"Why did you leave without saying goodbye?", Kirishima spoke quietly but Bakugou could've sworn he heard his voice crack.
Bakugou stayed silent. He wanted to say goodbye, he really did. He just couldn't. His mother took away his phone, she didn't even let him leave his room after she found out.
"You could've at least text me- or Denks. Do you know how worried we were when you didn't turn up? The first week we were like ah he's probably just taking a break from the shit that went down. Then the second week came and you didn't show up. Even Deku was worried, every time the door opened he would look over. Honestly, I thought he might break his neck at how fast he looked. Then he got all depressed cus' it wasn't you. He really wanted to apologise yanno. Sincerely, I mean. Not that crappy apology he gave you earlier."
The blonde still did not say a word. Instead, he dangled his legs over the side of the bed and just listened. He did not know what to do or say. Whether to go up and apologise, hug him or something.
"Denks started crying on the third week. He wouldn't tell me why but he said he thinks he knew why you weren't in and he said you probably weren't coming back. I told him that you would. People started to ask questions. There was a stupid rumour at one point that you had died. Aizawa cleared it up though. He only said that your Mom had pulled you out of school and that we weren't allowed near you at all. Denks tried going to your house before that though – cried even more cus' of that damn sold sign."
Kirishima moved to sit next to Bakugou on the bed and sighed.
"Then I see you again on a mission with Deku a whole five years later. In a whole different district. I was so happy to see you man. . .", Kirishima wrapped an arm around Bakugou pulling him in closer so his other arm could wrap around too, "Man I'm glad your okay. I would've lost it if I had to tell Denks you lost your limbs or some shit."
Kirishima let out a chuckle, trying to hide the very manly tears that were soaking the blondes shoulder.
". . . I'm s—"
"Nah, no, nope, hush your mouth. Do not say it. Bakugou Katsuki does not apologise. Ever. I don't want to hear it.", Kirishima perked up blinking rapidly as if tears had not been falling from his eyes. He stretched and pressed the palms of his hands against his eyes, "However–"
Taking a quick, rather aggressive sniffle Kirishima held onto Bakugou's shoulders and gripped them tightly.
"You gotta come meet the rest of the class again. Conveniently, we're having a little get together soon. Oh my god and please bring Hotaru she's the cutest thing on earth I swear. Actually no, me and Denks will come pick you up. We will make sure she comes."
"Alright, alright. What's your phone number?"
