My Beloved King (Izana Kurokawa x Reader)

Yesterday Izana was really sad, I hope he feels better today. I'll make him some cookies to cheer him up ! But first I have to see Shinichi, I'm sure Izana beat him up really bad.

-"Hello Mister Sano !"

-"(Y/N) how are you ?"

-"I'm fine thank you ! Is Shinichi here ?"

-"I think he's in his room."

-"Thank you !"

-"(Y/N) don't run !"

-"Sorry !"

-"(Y/N) !"

-"Hi guys !"

-"What are you doing here ?"

-"Emma she obviously came to see Shinichiro." Manjiro answered.

-"Why don't you stay with us too ?" Haru asked.

-"Is it because you love Shinichiro ?" Keisuke asked.

-"What ?! No ! I don't love Shinichi ! Well I do but like a brother !"

-"Are you sure about that, little brat ?"

-"Waka ? Of course I'm sure !"

-"Is it because you love someone else ?" Take-kun asked.

-"What ? (Y/N) you love someone ?" Emma asked.

-"Take-kun !"

-"I was just asking."

-"I don't love Shinichi !"

-"Which means you love someone else." Waka said.

-"What ?!"

-"She didn't say no."

-"Benkei really ?!"

-"Guys what's going on ?"

-"Shinichi !" I said running to him.

-"Oh (Y/N) !"

-"They keep saying that I love you !"

-"You don't love me ? I knew it was too good to be true !" He fake cried.

-"Shinichi !"

-"I'm kidding !" He laughed.

-"That's not funny !" I pouted.

-"Stop pouting ! You're not a kid !"

-"She is a kid Shinichiro."

-"Waka !"

-"What ?"

-"You-

-"You wanted to talk about something (Y/N) ?" Shinichi asked.

-"Yes."

-"Come on let's walk then."

-"Okay !" I said following him.

-"Izana told you ?"

-"Yeah..."

-"How is he ?"

-"Broken."

-"I see..."

-"How are you ? Izana hit you."

-"I'm okay I probably deserved it anyway."

-"Shinichi you didn't deserve anything."

-"I should have told him." He started tearing up.

-"You really knew ?"

-"Yeah..Well I noticed it but I couldn't care less. I considered him as one of my siblings just like Mikey or Emma. I didn't think it would affect him that much to know we're not blood related. Is it really that big of a deal ?"

-"For Izana it is. He has always been alone, even if he had Kaku and I as a family he knew from the start that we weren't blood related. I think it made him consider us more like a fake family you know, like a blended family. But with you, because he thought you were blood related he considered you as his real family. Not that he wasn't happy with Kaku and I but knowing he had a real family made him happier than ever. He wasn't alone anymore. I think the blood related thing is the more important thing in a family for him. In a way being blood related create a bond between you and this bond was his first priority. So finding out that you weren't blood related just broke this bond you had and send him back to the time he was alone. It's like he lost everything in the blink of an eye."

-"I didn't know it was that important for him."

-"I know this wasn't really important to you, honestly it's not for me either. Izana, Kaku and the others are like my family even if we're not blood related. I think that it doesn't bother us as much as him because we were never alone, we always had family and friends. That's why we don't pay attention to those details, but like I said Izana was alone from a young age so it's different."

-"It's amazing how you can understand people's feelings so easily."

-"I'm just trying to see things from his perspective and understand him."

-"Did you understand why he hates Mikey so much ?"

-"He hates Mikey ?"

-"Izana always hated when I talked about Mikey. Everytime he would get upset and change the subject but he never did it when we talked about Emma."

-"He does that sometimes when we're together, he hates when I talk about someone else. That's because when we're together he wants to feel like he's the only one I care about. Talking about someone else makes him mad because he thinks that he's not important anymore. So talking about Manjiro with him probably made him feel like you didn't care about him. Being his brother he wanted you to put him first and only care about him, especially since you couldn't see each other often. For him Manjiro was probably a threat because he felt like he could lose you anytime."

-"But why was he like that only when I talked about Mikey ?"

-"Because Manjiro is a boy just like him, replacing him with a girl would have been more complicated. Plus he knew Emma before, they grew up a bit together so she has never been a threat to him."

-"You have you deal with this all the time too ?"

-"Deal with what ?"

-"Izana being jealous and possessive."

-"No."

-"Why ? Didn't you say he's like that with you too ?"

-"Yes he is. The thing is that we talked about it a lot and I made him understand that he's important for me and that I care about him no matter what. So now he tries to accept the fact that I love him even if I'm with other people."

-"You're amazing. I've never been able to do that."

-"Because you never talked with him."

-"What ?"

-"Izana needs reassurance, he needs to feel wanted and loved. The only way to do that is communication. He's the way he is with me because we talked a lot. He didn't stop being jealous overnight he worked on it, he still does. But he started working on it because I talked about it with him. If you had talked with him maybe things would have gone better."

-"I bet he doesn't want me in his life know."

-"I'm sorry."

-"You don't have to. It's my fault, if I'd been a better brother we wouldn't be here."

-"Don't say that. You didn't know that's all."

-"He's lucky to have you know. Can you do me a favor and take care of him for me ?"

-"What are you saying ? I've been looking after him years before you knew him !"

-"You're right." He laughed.

-"Idiot !"

-"You're gonna tell me where you learned to talk like that ! Because it's obviously not from us !"

-"Don't know."

-"I'm sure you do !"

-"Nah !"
