Nothing More- Mike Wheeler

Santa came to town

There was nowhere else we could go, we were trapped in this room with flickering lights. Screams and gunshots echoed through the hallway.

Eleven was on the counter and Mike was holding her hand, "Just hold on a little longer, okay? He's gone. The bad man's gone. We'll be home soon, and my mom she'll get you your own bed. You can eat as many Eggos as you want. And we can go to the Snow Ball."

Right now I can't care less about the two because we're either going to be arrested or die within the next 5 minutes.

The hallways got quiet. Dustin looked over to me, "Is it dead?"

"I-" My sentence was cut short. The Demogorgon came through the door and roared at us.

"Go!Go!Go!" I yelled

"Take it out now! Get the rocks, get the rocks, get the rocks!" We helped Lucas get his bag open to get the wrist rocket.

"Get the rocks!" I reached into the bag to get the monster killer rocks.

"Kill it! Bastard!" Dustin yelled.

"Give me one!" I handed Lucas a rock, then another, and another. When the last rock hit the Demogorgon flew straight on the chalkboard.

The Demogorgon groaned and was unable to move, he was pinned on the wall. Eleven made her way to him.

"Eleven stop!"

Mike walked closer to Eleven but she pushed him back and he fell to the floor. I ran towards Mike on the floor, he hit it hard, "Mike! Are you okay?" He looked at me and nodded, he grabbed my hand and moved his attention back to Eleven.

She walked closer and closer to the monster. She turned around to look at all of us and said, "Goodbye, Mike."

And they were gone. The lights stopped flickering and it was just us in the room.

Mike let go of my hand and got up, "El? El? El!"

The rest of us joined Mike.

"Eleven!"

"El!"

"Eleven!"

"El! El where are you? Eleven! El?"

She was gone, and it was because she saved us.

This is my first time being in a hospital and I can officially say I hate hospitals. Being around sick and dying people is not a profession I want to be in.

I was sitting in between Mike and Lucas. Dustin fell asleep on Lucas and Lucas was out like a light. I wasn't tired at all. I couldn't wait for Will to wake up, I was too excited.

I felt Mike's head rest on my shoulder. He fell asleep. Mike fell asleep on me. Goosebumps arose on my body but I couldn't finish enjoying the moment because Will was awake.

Jonathan brought us over to Will and I ran to hug him, "Will! Oh my gosh, we're so glad you're okay we were so worried about you. You won't believe what happened!" I looked over at Dustin, "It was mental."

"You had a funeral!" Lucas exclaimed.

"And Jennifer Hayes was crying for you!" I added.

"And Troy peed himself."

Will was caught off guard, "What?"

"In front of the whole school!"

Will started smiling but he started coughing shortly after. My smile dropped. I can't imagine what he went through, he was in another dimension for a really long time. That story would go for a great 'What I did for winter break' paper.
