Prologue

Three hundred years ago, there was a wolf kingdom on this earth that hid from mankind. But they are not the ordinary wolves that people knew. They were werewolves.. meaning, they had a wolf form as well as a human form. So they were much stronger than average wolves or humans. A group of beings who believed in the moon goddess and firmly believed that she was their protector. There were three ranks, alpha, beta and omega. The red eyed alpha wolves were the most powerful among the three ranks. Second were beta wolves with yellow or brown eyes, while omega wolves with blue eyes were the weakest wolves in the pack.

Each and every werewolf had a mate chosen by the moon goddess. They expected no one but their destined mate. Anyone over the age of eighteen could identify his or her partner by their unique scent.
The probability of two alphas becoming mates is very low because they have a stubborn and inflexible nature. Rarely, if two Alphas mate and their child becomes an Alpha, he becomes a very powerful Alpha, or a True Blood Alpha. Also, if a male alpha mates with a male omega and a male alpha child is born, he is also a true blood alpha. But that was rarer than two alphas being mates. Because very rarely two male wolves mate. Even so, the birth of an Omega Male only happened once every few hundred years.

Kim Sung woon, an alpha with royal blood became the ruler of their kingdom, spread over a small island in the Pacific Ocean.  His younger brother was Kim Dongjun and his sister was Kim Sumi. The two siblings were also alphas. And they probably didn't think that it would be the cause of their destruction.

However, when the greedy younger brother of the werewolf king killed the king using dark magic and took the throne, conflicts started between his supporters and opponents. As it was dangerous to be in the kingdom, many people left the island and swam in search of human settlements in order to survive. Distraught and frightened by the death of her elder brother, his sister decided to take the king's eldest child and her daughter and leave the island after witnessing her mate's life losing in front of her eyes. A mate could not bear the pain of losing their partner. Having strengthened her heart, she somehow left the kingdom and entrusted her daughter to a Beta family and the king's sons to a Alpha family and closed her eyes forever. The little princess had the queen's ring on her hand and the little prince had the king's ring on his hand because they had to prove that they were royalty someday.

When the werewolves, who had been hiding from humans for a long time, mingled with the common humans, rumors about their existence began to spread among humans. One said that he saw the color of a man's eyes change with his own eyes, while another said that he saw a man turn into a wolf. After that, the werewolves lost the protection and blessing of the moon goddess.
Werewolves were forbidden to mate with humans, but they were tempted to do so. They no longer struggled to find a mate that the moon goddess had chosen for them. Thus, while the number of pure-blood werewolves decreased, the number of mixed-blood werewolves began to increase.

And humans, the most dangerous animal in the world, started hunting these werewolves. The waning of their strength after the departure of the Moon Goddess weakened the werewolves. After that, mixing with humans decreased somewhat and the werewolves began to hide from humans.
Again, werewolves became only a legend, but the people who hunted werewolves quietly continued their duty.

Thus the time passed and 269 years passed. At the time, the heir to the King's Ring was twenty-eight-year-old Kim Daehyun. The last link in the royal line of pure wolf blood. After learning about the destruction of their race from his father, he secretly began to train an army of werewolves. He had three friends named Min Seongjun, Kim Taemin and Jung Wooshik, and their support helped him a lot. A year later, they explored the Pacific Ocean with their army in search of their kingdom and eventually came back to their lost land and defeated their then ruler, Kim Jeong-woo, and reclaimed the crown. Tired of his rule, the werewolves warmly welcomed the new leader as jeong-woo fled the island with his minions. However, their number was no more than forty. So after that, Kim Daehyun joined his friends and found the pure werewolves that were spread around the world and brought them back to their kingdom. However, there were still many werewolves scattered around the world and living hidden from humans.

Two years later, Kim Daehyun and his colleagues got married after finding their partners. When Kim Daehyun's partner was also an Alpha and their first child was also a male Alpha, everyone's hearts  filled with joy.

They all believed that it meant that the moon goddess had given them another chance.
