His Muffin

CHAPTER 23

{Amaya Rose}

The charity fair is tomorrow and I decide to make fudge brownies and blueberry muffins so Xavier can have something to eat in case he doesn't want anything else.

While I make that I send a quick text to Xavier to tell him the timings of the fair and he sends me an 'okay muffin.'

I smile and continue my baking. After I'm done with the muffins, I start making the fudge brownies and my mind goes to Cameron.

We started talking more and he keeps telling me to make him more brownies so I decided to text him.

'Hey, Cam!' I greet

'Hey, Mara.' He replies after a few minutes.

'I have a fair tomorrow and I am making your favorite brownies for it. If you want to come and buy them then that's your invitation. It's for a charity.'

'Oh my god FINALLY! I'll be there.'

I laugh and send him the address quickly before going back to the brownies.

Cameron can meet Xavier too. It'll be great.

After I am done with everything I cover both dishes, and put them in the fridge.

I don't have to wake up too early cause the fair starts in the afternoon and ends at night. We also have no classes tomorrow and it's my day off from work cause of the timing so I had everything planned out.

At around 2 AM I text Xavier and ask him if he is going to come over.

'I can't love. I have a lot of work then I have to drop Dante at the house and I'll be exhausted by then. I'll see you tomorrow though okay?'

'Okay. Don't overwork yourself and get some sleep. Be safe.' He likes the message and I head to bed.

I watch a movie and I end up sleeping by 6 AM.

I wake up the next day at 3 PM and the fair starts at 5:30 so I need to leave by 5:00.

I start getting ready and send a text to Ash to ask where she is since she was going to take me with her.

After a while, she texts me to come downstairs and I grab everything before heading down and to her car.

We drive to the fair and set the things on the huge table. It's so crowded.

About an hour later, Cameron shows up.

"OH MY GOD, WHAT THE FUCK! THEY ARE DONE. NOOOOO," he cries out, staring at the plate that contained the brownies.

"Relax there-" I get cut off by him.

"NO. YOU PROMISED ME BROWNIES AMARA AND NOW THERE AREN'T ANY," he is so dramatic. Also again, Amaya not Amara but I don't bother correcting him.

"CAMERON THERE ARE MORE BROWNIES," I shout out, grabbing the other tray of brownies and shoving them to him.

"Oh. Here," he hands me a stack of hundreds and I stare at him.

"They aren't that much," I gape.

"Charity remember? Plus, these should be worth a lot more," he shrugs, walking towards a table.

Around an hour later I text Xavier to ask where he is.

'Busy. I'll be there soon babe.'

Okay then. At least he texted. He'll be here Amaya.

I continue selling the food and soon everyone starts to leave. Xavier is still not here...

At midnight everyone is gone except my friends who are all sitting at a table and Cam is with them.
