After a fierce battle in Hosu city, Izuku and his friends return to school. Upon their first day back, they are met with by Rebecca and Kyros. Two people that have been helped by Izuku and his uncles in the past as well as finding out Rebecca will be learning through remedial courses to hopefully become a student of UA. As this goes on, Monet works dilligently to rectify her past mistakes done in order to stop Doflamingo's flooding of a drug she helped create.
Tashigi POV:
A few days had passed since UA had started back up their hero course students on their work. As they did, I had done what I could for Smoker to help him adjust to being a teacher while also managing the work that we needed to as Marines. Thankfully, some of the G-5 members were able to help out after being showed how to manage things. They may not be the ideal image of Marines, but they are good people deep down that want the best for the average person.
Right now, I'm heading towards Monet in the nurse's office to see how her work has been going on the Rampage countermeasure. "Monet. It's Tashigi. Can I come in?" I didn't hear an answer for me to open the door. "Monet?" Looking in the office, I noticed Recovery Girl point towards a room. I walked towards the door to open it and see Monet typing on a computer while talking to herself as well as write down notes now and then. "How is it going?"
"If I increase this amount by 3 milligrams, the amount will be able to be more potent, but the general weight of the patient must be at least 185...No. That's 195."
"Monet?" I spoke up again for Monet to finally come out of her work to glance at me with her glasses on.
"Oh. I'm sorry, I didn't hear you come in. What can I do for you Tashigi?"
I looked at the desk to notice several energy drinks as well as what looked like instant bento boxes scattered around the ground. I knew she was giving it her all from what Izuku said, but this seemed a little.... "Monet. When did you last get away from this work?"
"I use the restroom and get food from the convenience store every now and then."
"Ok. but when did you do something that wasn't necessary and relaxed a little?"
"I'll handle it when I'm done with my work." She pulled her glasses off to show large sacks under her eyes.
"I think you're starting to overwork yourself."
"Every second I waste, the more of the drug is put on the street and the more dangers come to those that take it. My goal is to try and reduce that number as close to zero as possible, so a little sleeplessness won't kill me."
"But you shouldn't have to make a claim like that. Yes your job is to make a sedative and possibly something to reverse the damage, but that doesn't mean you need to work yourself to death-"
"Let me handle my job, and I'll let you handle yours. Stop bugging me if you don't have anything important such as Doflamingo's location so we can create a counter attack with the Revolutionary Army, Straw Hats and G-5." I was somewhat irritated with this to walk away and shut the door.
"I'll tell Smoker that you're still in the process of working on the sedative." I walked out in anger as Monet's statement made me enraged. Granted, she wasn't wrong. The issue right now is more time than anything. 'I should probably head back and apologize later.'
Monet POV:
After Tashigi left, I continued my work for a little longer with my mind having difficulties keeping focus. 'Dammit. Keep focused. This isn't the time to relax.' I kept working before a knock on the door came with Recovery Girl walking in.
"How's it going in here, sweetie?"
"I keep trying to get this percentage right with the sedative, but it keeps coming off wrong when I start using it on a digital scale replica of a human being." I tried once more for the formula I made for it not to work again and enrage me. "SON OF A BITCH!" I slammed my fists on the table to have some cans fall off with Recovery Girl trying to pat my shoulder.
