The tarnished trio (vanoss crew x elden ring)

chapter 21: exploring the south

Wildcat is seen heading back to where the merchant is and this time he goes up the hill to his left. He looks at the map and noticed something on it, a little village on the map. So he decided to head their and explore it to see what it has. With torrent they make their way to the village quickly and faster. Up the his he came to a pocket of water with undead dogs drinking from it. He sees a site of grace on a little rock and makes his way to it. He gets to it and activates it, then he looks at the map and sees that he is close to the village. He looks up the rock and thinks he can climb up to the village. So that's what he did as he climbs up the rock and peaks out to see the sign pointing at the village. Tho the sign looks to be scratched and burned for some strange reason.

Wildcat follows the path up to the village and once their he sees three buildings around the giant fire. There are also a couple of people their, but something is not right with them. Wildcat goes and sees they are paralyzed in place with their hands on their eyes like if it's burning. Wildcat goes up to them and see that they aren't reacting to his presence.

Wildcat: what the hell is going on here?

Wildcat then went to pat then on the shoulder and that's when it happens. The person began to move and turn to wildcat with their eyes in yellow flames. they all draw out their swords and went after wildcat. Wildcat killed the closest one and kills a second one that was charging at him. He points his sword and the others two as they stood away from him.

Wildcat: you want some... Come and get me!

The first one looks to feel pain and holds his eyes. Wildcat was confused at first until he sees it's eyes bursting into yellow flames. Then it's shoots a shower of yellow flames at wildcat as he use his shield to block it, but felt something in his head. It's feels like a little burning pain shows up in his head, but ignores it and kills the other two. Wildcat looks at the dead bodies and sees that their eyes are red and yellow, vary strange for him. He continues on exploring the area and found something on the floor, it was a strange rock with yellow flames still burning. Tho he ends up taking it and moves on to the next area. He than arrives at a destroyed church with giant rats and an much bigger rat. But wildcat sees that they too have yellow flaming eyes as well, this made wildcat think about what is going on here.

Wildcat enters the church and kills the rats that almost surrounded him and went to deal with the big rat. Wildcat struck his sword and it didn't kill the giant rat. The giant rat use it's side to push wildcat away and attacks him with his tail. But wildcat dodge out of the way as stabs the head of the giant rat, killing it. After that he looks around and sees something at the statue. A little gold chalice with glowing liquid in it. Isn't sure what it is, tho the merchant could tell him about it. Before he was about to leave he sees something on a corpse, he goes up to it and found a spell Tome. This one is an incantation like what vanoss use, so he picks it up and examine it. The page looks to be burnt and has a stream of flame picture. A name is seen on the paper that says "frenzy flame". He couldn't tell what the description says because of it being burnt and hard to read.

Wildcat ends up taking it for a gift for vanoss and continues on. He makes his way at the edges of the cliff and looks out into the open of this place. He also noticed he is close to one of those mini version of the erdtree. So he summons torrent and makes his way to it. He looks at the map to look for a path that goes to the erdtree and found it. He goes back to the site of grace and continues on the path. He came to a bridge that is being guarded by a Demi human chief. Tho he managed to pass by before it could ever wake up. Once he cross the bridge he sees new enemies he has never seen before. He opens the book that the merchant gave him to identify this enemies. In the book these enemies are called guardian's and they guard the minor erdtree, which is the small version of the big erdtree. Wildcat makes his way up the path to encounter more of those guardian's, until he arrives at the top where the path split's.
