The next day
Zayn POV
Me and the boys are on our way to the X Factor studios for the final tonight. We’re not performing but we’ll be on Xtra Factor.
I’m really excited because I’ll spend more time with Perrie if we’re not performing. Little Mix are in the final tonight and it is them against Marcus Collins. The girls are the favourites to win but they are still worrying. Me and the boys have all tweeted this morning.
“ @zaynmalik: it’s the final tonight guys lets get voting :) 09016161603 lil mix to win ! for the groups retweet this :) ”
“ @louis_tomlinson 0916161603 ! vote little mix now!”
I really hope they do win. They deserve it so much.
We pull up to the studios and as usual there are loads of our screaming fans. We get out of the car and wave at them then head into the studio. It’s really busy. There are people running around everywhere panicking. The show is due to start in about 30 minutes and everyone’s going crazy. We’re filming a little bit with Sophie-Grace and Rosie before the show so we go to our dressing room to dump our bags before heading into the corridor to meet them. I know I probably wont see Perrie until after her performance because I haven’t found her yet, but I want to do this filming quickly so I can head over to the backstage area and watch the girls.
These two girls are so cute and hilarious. After a bit of our chat with them Harry asks them, “Who do you wanna win tonight?”
“Little Mix!” they scream.
“Good choice. Zayn likes them too,” Louis says, smiling at me, “Ow!” he says as I elbow him in the stomach.
“We like them because they wear pink,” Rosie says.
“Me too,” I say, hugging Rosie.
When the interview finishes I run backstage to try and catch the rest of the girls’ performance. They’re singing Silent Night and they sound so beautiful. Perrie is doing the long high notes and her voice sounds amazing. The whole arena is silent as they are captivated by the girls’ voices. When they finish everyone is on their feet, even all the judges. They get amazing comments from the judges and then skip off stage.
“Perrie, over here,” I shout at Perrie.
“Zaynieeee,” she says giving me a big hug.
“That was sick,” I say, still hugging her.
“Thank you. Hey I’ve gotta get dressed and run through the song,” Perrie says.
“That’s okay I’ll go hang with the boys.”
“Or you can come with.”
“Yeah okay lets go,” I say and follow her to the dressing room with the rest of the girls. When we get in the room I sit down on the sofa and wait while the girls get ready in the changing area.
“Okay lets do this,” Jesy says, pressing the play button on the little CD player.
Cannonball starts playing and Jade is the first to sing. I watch, mesmerized, as the girls perform what will be their winners single if they win tonight.
“That was amazing,” I say when they’ve finished singing.
“Really? You don’t think the harmonies need to be tighter?” Perrie asks.
“No it does sound really good. Honestly,” I say. Perrie comes and sits next to me, leaning on my chest. I put my arm around her and kiss the side of her head.
