It was a chilly day and me and my friends were at a lake where tons of Earth ponies were all gathered around with booths and stuff. "So why are out near a lake?" Zipp asked. "Yeah, it's too cold to go swimming in the lake?" Pipp said. "We're out here because...." Hitch began as he, Sunny, and Sprout then yells out. "It's Magikarp Day!!" "......What?" I said in confusion.
"Every year we celebrate the day that the red gyarados came to Maretime bay during our worst dry season and provide us rain to save our crops from drying out and fresh water to drink." Sunny told us. "And to honor the red Guarados we celebrate its pre-evolved form Magikarp." Hitch adds. "And we do it by celebrating this day at the red Gyarados's home and we have fun games with the Magikarp." Sprout adds.
"But why do we have to celebrate during the fall?" Pipp asked. "Because this is the day the red gyarados came to Maretime bay." Sunny told us. " I guess that make sense.... Although why are they having those Magikarp jump?" Zipp asked while pointing to a group of ponies where they are around two Magikarp that have jumped up high. "Oh that's the Magikarp jump contest. It's when two Magikarp are trained and whoever jumps the highest is the winner." Sprout told us.

"Oh! Just like the app from my phone back at Earth." I said as we were walking around. "What's going on here?" Pipp Izzy asked as she points to a booth. "That's where we measure what Magikarp is the biggest and heaviest." Hitch said. "Im gonna guess that is where Magikarp race?" Zipp says as she points to the lake where several Magikarp are racing. "Yep! And that's where all the top chefs make the best food that looks like Magikarp." Sunny says as she points to where a bunch of chefs are.
"Oooo!!! A bounce house!" Izzy said as she goes to a Magikarp bounce house and starts jumping in the house. "Weeeeee!!!!" She cheered. "Well, if you need me. I'll shall be fishing for the biggest Magikarp and this time I will be the winner!" Sunny said as she picked up a fishing rod from a booth and heads to the lake. "You said that last year and the year before that and you never won!" Hitch called out as he sighed. "Well, I better make sure all the ponies and Pokémon stay safe. Lets go Sprout." He said as he and Sprout leaves.
"Well if everypony is going on off, I'll go and check out some of those food." Zipp said as she flies off. "So I'm gonna guess your gonna go off somewhere?" Pipp asked me. "Not really, what about you?" I asked her. "I am kinda curious about the Magikarp jump contest." She told me. "Want to check it out?" I asked. "Yeah." She said as we went over to the booth.
"So how does Magikarp jump work?" Pipp asked the booth attendant. "You fish for a Magikarp, train it, and then at 6:30 the contest starts." He told us. "So whats going on now?" I asked him pointing to the jumping Magikarp. "They are just ponies who aren't participating in the contest and just do it for fun." He told us. "Alright, I like to enter the contest." Pipp said. "Your gonna need a Magikarp and if you don't have one by 6:30 then you lose, also just because your a princess, your not gonna have special privileges or hand overs." He told her. "Good! Because I don't need it."
