Finding a job for Spike

It's been a few days since the festival and it was a relaxing day. Most of the ponies were out at Canterlot going over the restoration. The only ones at Maretime bay was me, Pipp, and Zipp who were sitting at a diner with Spike. "So yeah, me and Flurry went all over Equstria and freed anyone who was turned to Statue. A lot of the locations were destroyed how long it's been, so most of the creatures began looking for a new place to live." Spike was telling us.

"So do you have any idea where they made plans to live?" Zipp asks. "Yeah, the Yak's are moving closer to the Crystal Empire, the hippogriff's found the half submerged city of Manehatten which they're calling it New kelp city. A terrible name!" Spike grunted. "The Manehatten ponies are building a new Manehatten like city just a few miles from her and they're calling it Coltsville. The Griffons found a nice mountain near Zephyr Heights, the Dragons moved to a volcanic island 157 miles from here. Finally the Changeling's are building their hive near Bridlewood." Spike explained.

"Well I'm glad that they're finding a new place nicely." Pipp said. "Yeah... it.... Actually wasn't.... But anyway, me and Flurry were done with freeing everyone that were turned to stone." He explained. "I'm glad that things went well." I said. "So what are your plans now?" Zipp asked him. "Honestly.... I was kinda hoping that you could help me find something to do?" He asked as he rubbed the back of his head.

"Huh?" The three of us said in confusion. "Don't you have a job?" Pipp asked. "Yeah. I was Twilight's royal advisor and the ambassador of friendship." He told us. ".....How does that work?" I asked. "I go around helping nations with their friendships." He explained. "Yeah, that might be hard when most of the nation is moving close.... Oh my tail feathers! I'm gonna be queen of all of those places as well!?!" Zipp yells as she slams her head down on the table... hard. "Uhhhhh?" Spike was saying in confusion.

"She is next in line to be queen." Pipp explained. "Ah!" "Anyway, we'll be happy to help you." I said. "Thanks.... how hard can it be?" He said.

Time skip

"Alright, let's see how well you can style manes!" Pipp said as the four of us were at Mane Melody. "I'm not sure if I'm comfortable with cutting ponies manes." He said as he looked at the scissors in unsureness. "Relax, you're not using those. Your just gonna stylize (y/n)'s mane with brushes and pins." Pipp said as she pulls out a bunch of stuff as I was sitting on the chair. "Are you ok with this?" Spike asked me. "Pipp does this to me almost everyday. I'm used to it." I said.

"Alright.... If you say so?" Spike says as he picks up a brush. After a few minutes later I was looking at the mirror as I looked at my mane that looks like it was made by a wolverine. ".....I don't think manestylist is for  you." Zipp said.

"Let's try this... what can you do?" Zipp asks. "I can breathe fire, I can do commentary, I may be a bit rusty but I can sing. But I have been practicing with the piano.... And I'm a great cook." "You can sing!" Pipp yells. "Maybe.... It's been a while." Spike told her. "What you have in mind?" I asked Pipp.

Time skip

We were now in Zephyr heights at a small diner with a stage in the back. "This is "Cloudsdale on the Stars."" Pipp said as we looked around. ""Cloudsdale on the Stars?"" Spike said in confusion. "The Pegasi believed that it was named after an old city." Zipp explained. "Yeah... I been there." Spike said. "So you say you can sing, why not have a small career on that?" Pipp said. "Ok..... a few things. What if I don't want to have a musical career and even if I did, how does singing here make that happen?" Spike told her.

"Even if you don't, it could still be a fun hobby to have for fun and for your information I had my full start here. I used to sneak out at night wore a disguise and sung here to my hearts content." Pipp explained as Zipp leaned to us and whispered. "Everypony knew it was her and mom knew she snuck it to come her." We chuckled a bit. "What was that?" Pipp asked. "Nothing, Zipp was just telling us a joke is all." I quickly said as she stares at me in suspicion but quickly drops it.

"Anyway, it could be nice to try out and if it doesn't work out, I think I know a restaurant that you could try out?" Pipp suggested as Spike sighed. "I suppose it couldn't hurt.... At least they have a piano." Spike said as he walked up to the stage.

So.... Spike was really great on the piano..... singing.... He must've not sung in a long time because he wasn't exactly good. "Well.... He certainly has spirit." Pipp said. "At least ponies aren't booing and stuff." I said. "They're used to it. A lot of ponies sing here a lot." Zipp said. "But at least he's good on the piano." I said. "Yep." The two sisters said as Spike stopped. "So.... That was..... a small song that Twilight used to sing.... Sorry... if it didn't.... Sound good." He awkwardly said.

"I liked it." We heard as we turn to see Queen Haven. "Mom is here!?" Pipp said in surprise. "Mom also snuck out here a lot. It's kinda how she knew that Pipp snuck out." Zipp whispered to me. "Really! You liked it?" Spike asked as Haven came up to stage. "I certainly did. I also loved your piano playing.... It reminded me of when Feather Storm when he used to play piano." She said. "Who?" I asked. "Our dad." "I wish that he could be here to meet you." Zipp and Pipp said sadly. "Oh." I said as Pipp hugged me.

"T-thanks..." spike said. "How about playing the piano and I sing." Haven said with a sly smile as she picked up a microphone. "......Why is she smiling like that?" Pipp and Zipp both said at the same time as Spike and Haven began playing a romantic song. As the song was going the two sister were just watching with mixed negative emotions of what was going on.

"What is happening?" They both said as they continued to stare. "I think they're having a moment." I said as the two sister turn to stare at me as I tried looking away from their stares. The song ended finally and a lot of ponies clapped. Except for the two sisters and me, only because I was afraid that they might stare at me again.

"Wow.... I really liked your singing." Spike said. "Thanks. I sometimes come here to sing from time to time." Haven said and then says. "Tell me.... What's your name?" "Spike." "Well Spike.... How do you feel about tea?" She asked. "I love it." He answered. "How about you come with me, I know a great tea place that I used to take my fillies." Haven said. "Sure." Spike said as the two got up and left the building.

".....Hmmm, good for them." I said as I can feel the stares from the two sisters.

No pov:

It was night out as Sunny walks into the lighthouse. "It's good to be home." She said as she then notices the ponyta on the couch with blankets. "Ummm?" Sunny says in confusion. "I was banned from sleeping with Pipp for two weeks, because was a bit supportive of their mom possibly went out on a date with Spike." (Y/n) said. "......How long was I gone?" Sunny says in confusion.
