on our walk back to tokyo jujutsu high, i watch the droplets of water falling from my hair hit the pavement below me. my hair was still wet from the beach, but only the ends.
when we get back to the school, toge walks me to my dorm, his collar zipped up covering his face. i look into his eyes and flash a small smile.
"yuji said he'll text me the time- i haven't checked my phone.." i pull out my phone and see that i do in fact have a message from yuji.

"he said to be there any time after eight, i'll come to your dorm around that time?" i ask toge.
he shakes his head, "bonito flakes."
i tilt my head, "then...?"
he lifts his hands up and tries to sign me a message, "i'll be here."
"ohh, you wanna come pick me up again?"
he nods.
"okay," i smile, finding my keys to unlock my door. i wave him goodbye as he walks down the hallway.
once i get into my room, i immediately go into the washroom, running a shower. i can feel sand everywhere on me.
