A.N: This is a filler chapter and isn't very long. It's more of a fluff chapter that has some cute private moment between Tommy and Vivian.
TW: PTSD Flashback (Not exactly like the ones in the show) and Suicide attempt
Flashback
"Be careful Danny." Said Tommy
The sound of shovels and pickaxes can be heard on the opposite side of the tunnel wall. The 3 wait in silence with nothing but a lantern in hand. Listening to the voices on the other side. The men burst through the wall. One shoots Tommy and he falls back screaming in pain.
"Tommy!" One of the men yells fighting for their own lives as well. One had been stabbed and screamed in pain.
End of Flashback yet he's not awake.
"Tommy!" Vivian yells knocking on the door that is locked. Polly rushes up the stairs as well to see Vivian.
"Tommy!" Polly yells as well still no answer.
"Polly move" Says Vivan and she does.
Vivian instinctively uses her shoulder a couple times to bust open the door. Once to two of them are in they see Tommy shaking on the floor having a seizure.
"Stay back Polly. When I wake him he might throw a punch." Vivan said as Polly nodded
Vivian put Tommy on his side and lightly shook him but he wasn't waking up.
"Tommy. You're home, you're safe." She was whispering to him. She grabbed his face and rubbed his cheek with her thumb. "Tommy, you're not in France anymore."
With that Tommy stopped shaking and jolted up throwing a punch out of habit that Vivian caught. Tommy still out of it just stared at Vivian and she noticed some cuts he has on him.
"Polly can you get me whiskey and a rag please." Polly left to go get those.
Vivian now holding Tommys face in her hands now that he was sitting up against the wall sweating and still hyperventilating.
"Look at me Tommy." Vivian said clearly worried about him. Tommy looks at him silent.
"Here you go." Polly said handing Vivian what she asked for. "I'm going to run a cold bath for him. Just take him to the bathroom when you're done." Once again Polly left and closed the door behind her. Vivian then started to clean the cuts Tommy had gotten when he fell off he bed. As she was helping him he leaned his head against the wall. Once Vivian finished she realized how watery Tommys eyes had gotten.
Vivian grabbed his face with her hands and looked at him.
"You can cry Tommy. I won't tell anyone." And with that he did. It wasn't a full cry but tears were falling. All Vivian could do was hug him. Tommy just laid his head on her shoulder and they just sat there.
"I'm sorry..." Tommy said.
Vivian looked at him really confused "Tommy you don't need to be sorry. Healing takes time. War changes people. It's okay. You're safe." She pauses and grabs his face again "You're not in France anymore."
The two of them didn't say anything for a few minutes.
"Polly ran you a cold bath if you want it. You need to stand up." With that Vivian stood up to help Tommy up. Vivian helped Tommy to the bathroom and left him alone liked he asked. While Tommy was in there Vivian went and cleaned up Tommys bedroom. There was broken whiskey glass on the floor that had blood on it that she picked up. The blankets were all messed up. Tommy came back in the room to see Vivian laying on his bed reading a book she'd found in her room. He just stopped in the door way and watched her. He could get use to this. She look so pretty when she's tired.
