It had been a week since the incident at the Garrison. Tommy and Vivian no longer kept their relationship private but they didn't show huge amounts of affection in front of other people. Since then Vivian had another meeting with David and retracted her contract with him. Many threats were made, but one threat kept replaying in her mind as she was driving back from London.
Flashback
"If you don't want to do business the legal way, I'll hurt you and ruin everyone you love until I get my way." David said as the two were face to face.
"You never do your own dirty work Mr.Long. I killed 2 of you men by myself as I was bleeding out." Vivian said stone cold and monotone.
"That is no longer my concern. I'll send all my men to Thomas. Ay?" he insisted but Vivian didn't react.
"Then I'll get Polly and then the brothers." He laughed.
Vivian nodded "That's fine." This left David puzzled
"Fine?"
"They can handle themselves." With that she left.
She snapped out of it as she entered Small Heath.
Her head kept playing that over and over "He wants Thomas, Polly, Arthur, and John." She mumbled to herself. She soon parked outside of the Garrison and sat there for a moment just waiting for nothing. She took a big deep breathe and walked in the doors as everyone stood up, even the Shelbys. One man however, did not. She stopped right behind him "That's fine don't get up."
He looked behind him "Oh hello Ms.Lee."
She looked him up and down "Are you new here? I've never seen you."
"I've lived her for awhile. I'm from here." He spoke
"No you're not. You sound like you're from London. Ay?" She stepped closer to him and noticed he had a necklace that shows he works for David.
She grabbed it "That's a nice necklace." The man nodded. "Looks familiar." She paused "You're a spy, ay?" nothing "You work for David Long." She looked him up and down and laughed and he put his hand in his pocket and pulled his gun out holding it at her head. "No one move!!" He yelled. "I'll put so many bullets in your head even god won"t recognize you." He finished
She shook her head "I'm an atheist. Fire at will." The man froze. She took the chance to disarm his and toss him to the ground over her shoulder. He was now on his back looking up at her point his own gun at him.
"Are we done here?" The man nodded yes "Good." She unloaded his gun and put the bullets in her pocket. She helped him up and gave him his gun. Pulling him closer to her she said coldly "You tell David I said hello. Now take you stuff and fuck off."
The man practically ran out of the pub causing her to laugh.
She looked at everyone "Sorry bout that." She said sarcastically and went to the bar and everyone sat down. She sat at the bar and glanced at Tommy.
"Hi Harry." She said with a smirk.
"Vivian" He nodded with respect "Irish or Scottish?"
"Irish. Can I have a bottle?" She said lighting a cigarette. Harry returned a few seconds later and gave her a glass and a bottle. She glanced over at a barmaid who was staring at Tommy. She walked over to her "What's your name?"
The barmaid looked at her "Ayla." She spoke softly.
"Mr. Shelby is quite good looking isn't he?" She asked Ayla as she pointed at Tommy. Tommy and his brothers look at the 2 of them watching the interaction.
