"The Siege of Tir Na Nog"

A tense silence held in the air as Bloom and the mysterious masked female stood off against each other, waiting for each other to make the first move. Bloom felt her nerves tighten and cease up, as if she couldn't put a finger on this newest individual and her motives. The intruder turned to face the portals, clearly not worried at all and grunted with a veiled smirked; the opening crimson portals slowly tore through the sky until at last they gradually revealed what was inside. One by one, the monstrosities walked out slowly. They swivelled their heads as they crept out of the shadowy rift, a spider creeping from their web to look at their catch.

The sight of them made the Winx's, Roxy's and even the Tir Na Nog fairies feel vastly uncomfortable.

The creatures stood 7 feet tall and had extremely lean bodies, no fat to be seen on them and had elongated legs which seemed impossible even by magical creature standards. The musculature could be seen in their stomachs, arms, upper bodies and legs; frankly, they look as if they could take Cloud Tower's most physically powerful warriors and could punch a hole through them. Their heads looked skull-like; they had the elongated nature of a deer skull, but had beaks on them like those of eagles and in their jaws were three rows of sawblade teeth, much like those seen in sharks. They had no eyes, but had glowing orbs in place of their eyes.

Nebula took notice of this, a small gasp as she noticed they were crimson-red with a black edge as they flared in the night. What little the Winx did see within the mouths shook them to the core. Crunched up pieces of bone and marrow hang down from the top of the teeth, the upper jaw even, as their mouths hung open in a static, statue-esque. Some would open their mouths as they pant, others closed as they sniffed the air. Surrounding their bodies is an aura which is mostly white, but with an edge of nightblue and red that radiates outward. Their feet resembled those of meat-eating dinosaurs: three toed feet on elongated heels, the balls of which had an upward curving scythe like dew claw which menacingly rose up in the air.

Their arms were ashen white with bright red tattoo markings which curve up, around and in spirals as they made their way up to the upper reaches of the arm. They were with nightblue quill-like fur climbing up all the way to the arm, across the shoulders in a lattice pattern before converging into one and then down the back in four large stripes.

The markings flashed crimson red, beating at intervals; sometimes faster when they were excited and at a more intense brightness, others kept theirs at a moderate pace. An aura of foreboding, dread, despair and death overcame the Winx and the Specialists as they gazed into the soulless crimson pits of these creatures. What's most horrifying is that they don't have hands at the end of their arms. Instead, huge, incredibly sharp looking scythe like blades hung past their knees. They look as if the Grim Reaper, or a shinigami (Death God) itself, gave them this horrific weapon. Dried blood stained the otherwise bone white dull colour as it gleamed in the moonlight.

Bloom saw 40 dozen of these things step out and float above the island of Tir Na Nog, all of them fixing their eyes on her and the Winx. Sky and the Specialists felt them tightening their grips on their weapons as they felt their hearts pounding; a primal feeling of horror and want to flee shot through their veins. Sky looks back to everyone else.

Timmy's hands were trembling while holding his gun; Helia was holding his stance, but also was quivering. Nabu was sweating and visibly gritting his teeth, trying to be composed against these things.

Bloom glanced to the Winx. Aisha was sweating but trying to keep a brave face. Flora was trying to calm, her breathing becoming shallow from increasing terror. Musa's body was trembling all over. Tecna wasn't too far off. Stella could only mutter, "Well....th-th-they su-sure need a break.." before nervously chuckling and a face of horror creeping across its face; her normal confidence was slipping away the more she took the scene in.
