The day was bright and sunny and the wind blew through all of the trees in the forests of Magix. Animals and birds of various menageries could be seen flying and grazing upon the forest; the trail winds through the forest like squiggly strokes of paintbrushes on blank canvasses, winding through the thick green foliage. A young boy with shoulder-length black hair and emerald crescent-moon-shaped downward curving marks walks and looks around in innocent curiosity and wonder. A butterfly with bright purple wings flits around, releasing gorgeous pink amethyst-colored sparkles as it does.
The boy laughs with child-like enthusiasm and chases a butterfly around in loops. He is wearing a blue t-shirt with black jeans and sky-blue runners as he chases the insect around like a puppy playing with a ball.
"Luno! Come here, baby brother! We have to go on," a gentle, mature yet energetic female voice calls to him further down the trail.
He looks away from the butterfly and towards where the sound is.
Up the trail was a tall, slender, beautiful young lady with long flowing black hair with white at the very tips of them waiting with her arms crossed behind her back. She had a pleasant smile on her face and a warm look in her eyes. She had the same eye markings, only they were bright mauve with blueish highlights. She wore a kimono-type top with light blue jeans with bell bottoms. the end held together by a wide belt-like sash that wraps around her waist, accentuating her lovely figure. A long thin part curves down her face between her eyes and curves down close to her left eye. She is wearing no lipstick and she is wearing bright green armbands on her biceps. She is also wearing running shoes herself.
The girl gestured towards him again with a bigger smile.
"Yes, Big Sis!" The little boy--Luno--replied with enthusiasm. He turns and waves the butterfly goodbye, saying, "Bye, Mister. Butterfly!" and joins the young lady...his older sister.
He runs to her and she kneels to one knee and puts her arms out to catch him. He runs into her arms and they both hug each other. "I love you, Big Sister Miyuki!", the little says to her.
"I love you too, Baby Brother," Miyuki says to her brother tenderly. "Come on, let's continue our walk. We don't have Grandpa and Mother waiting, right?" Luno agrees with her with a nod of his head. They continue walking through the woods to their destination. All is quiet so far...no disturbance is heard or felt for a while. Hours seem to pass...
Miyuki suddenly freezes, gasps holds her brother tight and strikes a defensive pose. She looks around her, alarmed by someone or something in the woods. Every shadow--once harmless--is now looking to be extremely suspicious.
Luno looks up curiously and looks at his sister. Her face is intense, deathly so, and her features have tightened as if she is expecting a fight to break out at any moment. Her eyes swivel from right to left slowly, cautiously...she lets LUno down slowly and places him behind her.
"Stay close to me & don't speak. Don't give away your position. There's someone following and watching us and I don't think it's another hiker," she tells him, now deadly serious. Luno now feels anxiety coursing through his tiny body now.
He quakes, now sensing something else too. It is cold, heartless, dark, and full of shadowy intent. Miyuki pats his head to comfort him and brings him closer to her. She raises both hands up in the air; her left hand is placed outwards from her waist with the palm pointing downwards. The right one is raised high in the air. The wind, which seemed so warm and inviting before, now turns cold and ominous.
