First Day

The ringing of Asha's alarm echoed through her room. With a tired groan she rolled out of bed rubbing her eyes lazily.
Her outfit for the day, which consisted of a denim skirt, pink midriff top and belt was already laid out on her bed as she had chosen it the night prior.
She wanted heads to turn as she walked down the hall.
Sitting in front of her mirror at her makeup desk she begun her makeup and hair. She did two plats at the front of her hair and let her natural blonde waves fall past her shoulders. Slipping on her pink high top converse and putting on some jewellery (of your choice) she then made her way downstairs.

"I can't believe my baby is all grown up and going to high school" Asha's mum- Tess- said as she placed of pancakes in front of her daughter.
"Mum I'm not a baby" The young girl rolled her eyes though still had a small smile on her face as she ate her pancakes.
"I know, I just want you to know I love you and this year will be better" Tess placed her hand on top of Asha's giving her a reassuring look.
"Promise?"
"I promise"

*HONK*

"That must be Auntie Kath, I'll see you after school mum, love you" Asha quickly kissed her mums cheek before rushing out the door with her schoolbag in hand.

"ANNA! I MISSED YOU!" The girl exclaimed as she wrapped her arms around her cousin whom she hadn't seen in ages.
Asha and her mum had only moved to LA recently from Chicago after her parents divorce. Anna and Asha rarely got to catch up due to Ash's busy schedule and the distance between the two.
However now that they went to school together they could see each other everyday, something both girls were excited for.

"ASHAAA!" Anna quickly returned the hug with eagerness before pulling away.
"Hey Maya" The blonde smiled at the girl beside Anna who seemed slightly shocked by her welcoming persona.
Maya had always acted odd around Asha, often trying to sound cooler around the girl.
"Wus-wussup Asha" Maya responded in a forced laid back tone.

Asha sat in the seat beside Shuji. She had always gotten along with Shuji, in fact she used to have the fattest crush on him. I mean, who was she kidding, she still did.
During her many visits she found herself hanging with Shuji and his friends more than her actual cousin. This was usually cause Anna was hanging out with Maya all the time and Asha felt like she was intruding.
"Sup Ash" Shuji smiled at the blonde, "looking forward to 7th grade? Maya and Anna won't shut up about it"
Asha chuckled and shrugged, "I just wanna make friends y'know"
"Yeah you won't have trouble with that" Shuji laughed and Ash looked at him confused, "what do you mean?"
"Bro, your funny, cool, hot everyone'll wanna be your friend, your gonna be popular, you watch".
Asha smiled and shook her head, "stop your making me blush Shuji" she joked pushing his shoulder slightly whilst he laughed.
"Eww, stop flirting with Asha, Shuji" Maya groaned disgustedly. Shuji turned around slapping the back of Mayas head, "shut up, bowl cut" he retorted.
"Stopah!" Maya whined babyishly, "are you sure my hair looks okay Anna?" She asked Anna again.
"Yes it looks hot" Anna reassured her as Shuji and Asha shared knowing glances.

The car came to a stop in front of another house and another boy which Asha knew was Sam jumped into the car.
"Shit, how many kids are you picking up Kath?" Ash questioned, "this is the last one" Anna's mum responded.
" what the fuck did you do to your hair" Sam asked the moment he saw Maya. Maya then wailed pathetically and turned to Anna, "you said it looked good!"
"It does!"
"It looks like shit" Sam laughed, "suck my balls Sam" Maya retorted sassily.
"Suck deez balls" Sam said with a smirk as everyone around him made faces full of disgust.
"Ewwwwww"
"Gross"
"Dude" Asha complained with a revolted look.
"Oh- Asha I didn't see you, um-hey" Sam stuttered and turned a deep shade of red. Shuji snickered from beside the girl as she elbowed him in the side. "Hey Sam, excited for school?" She asked and he nodded still a bit embarrassed from his previous statement.
"Yeah you?"
"Yeah"

Finally the car stopped in front of the school and it looked nothing how Asha had imagined it. She was hoping it would be like Grease but the movies always lie about high school experiences.
Sam and Shuji shoved past the two best friends who were standing in the car door trying to time their steps so they could take their first steps into middle school at the exact same time.
"3...2.."
"Guys hurry up" Asha moaned and the girls finally moved out the way.

Hand in hand Anna and Maya walked into school with Asha straggling behind them. "So you guys excited?" Ash asked the two and they nodded, "yeah but your the only one out of all of us who will be popular" Maya sighed as she tried to fix her hair.
"What do you mean?" The blonde girl looked at the two confused.
"Your so pretty and we're so...not" Anna explained with saddened expression, Asha shook her standing in front of the girls and placing a hand on both their shoulders.
"Don't talk like that A, your both hot as fuck and your gonna have all the boys drooling but that will only happen if you have confidence. Fake it til you make it y'know what they say".
This seemed to boost both girls attitudes as they nodded their heads with smiles on their faces, "fake it til you make it" Maya repeated to herself and Ash nodded her.
"Now let's go, we've got a rep to make"

A/N
I rewrote this first chapter because i didn't like it. Its longer but shorter bc it's more descriptive but less has happened but I think it's better than before.
