I awoke to the sound of the beeping machine. I opened my eyes and saw Hunter sitting next to me.

"Megan? Oh thank god!" Hunter said and hugged me.

I melted into his arms and hugged him back tightly. I missed this feeling so much but for some reason it didn't feel true.

"Hunter, I'm so sorry." I said and began to cry.

"Megan calm down. Everything will be fine." Hunter whispered and held me tighter.

"My mom is going to hate me." I sobbed loudly.

"No she won't. She doesn't know and I won't tell her if you don't want me to." Hunter said.

"Wait, how does she not know?" I asked.

"I told her you were spending the nigh at Marsha's. Megan, I'm so sorry. I shouldn't have disrespected you at school. I promise you I will change. Just please never do that again." Hunter said and let me go.

Damn, I didn't want him to let me go. I miss his touch so much and I missed his kisses too. He wiped away my tears and then left the room. Before I knew it, we were in the car on the way home. It was Sunday so we didn't have to worry about school but that made me nervous. I wanted to trust Hunter but I don't think I could ever forget what he did. I guess he sensed it because he made a sharp turn and drove towards the park. I had my old Hunter back. I smiled and almost burst out into tears again but I managed to control myself. I told him everything that I had discovered and he just listened for a moment. He turned angry when I told him about the shadow and I knew why. That was his best friend's sister. Hearing how she died wasn't exactly the best news you could tell someone. Hunter hugged me again and kissed me on the lips. I was glad that I had gotten him back again. He broke the kiss and the air got chilly.

"Ew, get a room you two." Mimi said and giggled.

I glared at her and turned to see Hunter's sad expression. His lower lip quivered a bit as he stared at Mimi's scars.

"Hunter, what's wrong? It's been so long. Where's Tony? Is he with you?" Mimi asked and looked around.

Her face lit up when she said Tony but she frowned when she realized he wasn't there. Hunter 's voice cracked as he tried to answer and I knew he was about to cry.

"Hunter, did Tony not come because he's mad at me? Did I do something wrong?" Mimi asked.

Now I felt like I was going to cry. Her face fell when she suddenly remembered she was dead. Her eyes watered and then she began to sob. She sat on the floor and cried her eyes out.

"Tony! I need you. Come back, please. Tony! I want you with me. I'm sorry I ran away, I won't do it again. Just please come get me." Mimi shouted and cried harder.

My heart ached and then Hunter walked away as he started to cry too. Poor Mimi was all alone, she had no one to protect her. Her older brother and parents were gone and they would never come back for her. Mimi's body shook violently and then she disappeared. I walked back to the car and saw Hunter wipe away his tears.

"Why Megan, she was so little. She didn't deserve that." Hunter said and punched the steering wheel.

"Hunter, I'm so sorry. Is there anything I can do?" I asked.

"Yeah, help me find Tony." He said.

I was shocked. Hunter knew that would be impossible and I knew it too. I just nodded though and hugged him as he cried into my shoulder. I wanted to keep my promise to him because he promised he would change but could we really keep it?
