Regressed Chris.

TW: cussing.

"We can't accept him here anymore, I'm truly sorry." An elderly woman had excused, trying to turn them away.

"Why?" Matt asked, not removing himself from the front desk, "why can't you take him anymore?"

"We're sorry-" she began, but they weren't letting her avoid the question.

"You guys are supposed to help him." Matt interrupted, "why are you all of a sudden turning your back on him?" He argued.

At this time Nick had taken Chris to the small playroom, trying to make sure he didn't hear anything that was being said.

But that didn't mean Nick was done. He still wanted to hear the excuses they threw at them. Why couldn't they just be upfront? Chris was an excellent kid here! He had all stars and did amazing! They even paid for his meals there and for his time at the preschool for regressors. Nothing had been making sense.

If the place was so open and loving toward littles who were coping at the therapist office then why turn him away?

Just the other day Nick swore he saw a little running around screaming about how he was a robber. Game or not, Chris stayed to himself there as he was shy without his brothers, so why turn him away?

"We only opened it up for a few regressors here in the spare office for them to have a playroom during sessions." She began, "but you see some of the staff here didn't like their behavior so we have to think wisely..." she explained.

"What behavior?" Matt asked, "Did he act up?"

"No, no, no, you see the thing is it's just such an odd way of coping and she believes that they need higher therapy that even we can't assist." She clicked her pen, "We love helping, but age regression isn't very accepted." She weakly smiled.

This pissed them off even more.

"So...... Is it because they act younger?" Nick asked, "because they're not normal?" He added, rolling his eyes.

He already knew what the issue was and the woman's face said it all.

Nick scoffed as he left the room, going to get Chris. There was definitely no way he was leaving him here now.

"Chris c'mere." Nick hated doing this, but he had no choice.

"Where we goins?" Chris asked as he tugged the older's hand.

Nick didn't respond, what was he supposed to say? That they were getting kicked out because he was little? He just kept his mouth shut, afraid he'd say the wrong things.

The lady didn't make an effort as Nick walked Chris out to the car.

"Daddy? Wait- what?" Chris asked, dragging his feet back, "why leave?" He asked with wide eyes.

"Because I don't feel comfortable leaving you here anymore." Nick said as he forced their way to the van.

Nick had actually liked this place. He thought they did well with taking Chris in and treating him well, but now he wanted to take back every good thing he had ever said about the place.

"Daddy please- stay?" Chris tried to argue as he pulled Nick's hand back, "I wanna stay!" He shouted.

"Don't raise your voice with me." Nick shushed him, "I would do anything to make your wish come true, but I can't and I'm sorry."

Chris, already not feeling well, had a mental break. He loved the playrooms with the beanbags and toys and fluffy carpets, they satisfied him and made him feel safe. He had only been there for three days and now something goes wrong? The changes were too much for him.
