Alahna sat outside of the bathtub as Chris flung water around. He had his baby blue swimming trunks on to keep himself covered as he played around with his bath toys.
Alahna kept her eyes on Chris, making sure he didn't go under the water or accidentally hurt himself.
She smiled as he ducked his hair in the water, quickly flinging his head up, letting his hair stick to his neck. This making his hair appear longer.
He peered over the edge of the tub, giving Alana a gummy smile. She pushed some hair out of his face as she smiled at how adorable he was.
"What is it baby?" She asked, noticing the sad glint in his eyes.
"Can I be a mermaid?" He asked with a shy smile, "not a merman, but like a girl one?!" He asked, lightly covering himself up as he adjusted himself back on his bottom in the tub.
She closed the bathroom door behind her, making sure Matthew or Nick weren't nearby, "Sure baby! Does Dada or Daddy know about you wanting to be a Mermaid?" She asked with a nervous chuckle, making sure she didn't accidently out him to his other caregivers.
He frowned as he picked up a toy from under the bubbly water, "No, only mama knows!" He giggled, referring to Alahna.
Alahna leaned over, lightly kissing his forehead.
If she could do anything during this moment she was going to let him be the mermaid he wanted. Who was she to take that away from him?
But she made a mental note to discuss this further with him later, making sure they were on the same page.
Making sure he hadn't thought of transitioning.
She didn't care if he changed at all, but knowing how hard these situations and topics tended to be, she wanted to make sure she knew what he preferred.
