The Solidarity approached the fields of Grandzam as the Citadels around it were absolutely destroyed, many soldiers lied on the ground, some even decapitated; the amount of gore on those fields shocked Perrin, as he almost felt like he wanted to barf, but he maintained his cool, as he held his sword tightly.
"Bloody hell," said Eli, as he got off his horse. "Nazrule's got passed their defenses already?"
"Yes," said Arathor, as he got off his horse. "In terms of strengths and troops, Nazrule is way above Donrule, it must've took them about five minutes to get past it fully, who knows how many are dead."
"Over a thousand, i'll probably say," said Perrin, jumping off. "This makes me sick to my stomach."
"I know it is wrong," said Arathor, as he took out his broadsword. "But we chose our side, we shalt fight!"
The Solidarity nodded as they charged towards Grandzam, aiding the Soldiers in need.Rago ran around Grandzam as huge chunks of soldiers held the gate together, most of them were holding spears, with Bergorn in the back aiding them.
Rago peeked through the Fort and saw Arathor, Eli, D'Angelo and the Younglings, as he murmured: "Son of a bitch,"
Moments later, the Gates bursted open, as he took out his sword, Nazrule's swarmed the place as the Donrule's moved back, some getting stepped on by Horses; some getting speared, or their spears getting taken off their hands.
Rago slashed one horse and the Nazrule Soldier fell off, as he stepped on him and slashed his back, as the Citizens ran away, evacuating, the Soldiers stayed behind and fought.
Bergorn was swinging his bo-staff around, knocking down Nazrule Soldiers second by second, as Rago continued to defensively slash soldiers, he didn't go on a spree by slashing and slashing, he calculated the perfect time to swing his sword.
And so he did, it wouldn't last long though, as one Soldier speared his shoulder, piercing it right through as Rago fell down in pain, before switching his sword in the hand and stabbing, they both fell to the ground.
Rago groaned for a few moment before he grabbed the Spear and slowly took it out, screaming in the process, as he threw the Spear away. He couldn't feel his pierced arm, it was far beyond numb, it was like he never had an arm in the first place.
He wasn't going to stay down though, he grabbed his blade and slowly got up, he saw a rally of Nazrule Soldiers riding to the Citadel approaching the road, Rago took this opportunity to swing his sword and slash one of the Horse's legs, causing a portion of Nazrule Soldiers to fall forward and fall off their horse, hitting the ground; possibly knocked out.
Breathing heavily, a Nazrule Soldier screamed; "The end is near! Get the King!"
And that was when Rago's anxiety set in, the King was what they wanted; he held secret intel as it appeared the Nazrule's found out, so Rago took this opportunity, and ran up the roads.Arathor was slashing soldiers second by second, he lost sight of his fellow Solidarity friends; they probably wondered off somewhere, or aiding troops, but Arathor couldn't have time to think about that now. He was slashing soldiers as they ran at him.
This continued on for a few minutes, as Soldiers didn't seem to be in the area, he quickly ran out of there and up the road.
There, he saw more Nazrule Soldiers being pulverized and speared by Donrule Soldiers above, as Arathor took out his bow and shot one in the head, causing him to fall down; which alerted the others as they jumped down and backed off.
Arathor ran to the injured Soldiers, as they seemed to be gasping for air, with huge spears sticking out of their backs, Arathor took them out slowly, and bandaged each wound.
There, he saw a hooded Donrule Soldier approach the scene, as he swung his sword at Arathor, who ducked, Arathor was now on the defense, with the Hooded Soldier clearly seeming to be very Agile as he jumped around.
Their Swords clashed for a few moments, before Arathor put the sword down and shouted into the darkness behind the hood.
"Tell me where your King is!"
The Soldier kicked Arathor in the Torso as he grabbed his sword, grabbing the upper hand as he seemed to try and sweep him down.
Arathor was having enough of this as he kicked the Soldier in the Torso, causing him to fall back and be strangled by another Nazrule Soldier who had got up just in time.
The Soldier, gasping for air, elbowed the Nazrule, as he ripped the Soldier's hood off, revealing a familiar face that Arathor could not forget.
"Rago," he said, "what the hell are you doing, Rago!"
There stood Rago, enraged with anger, as he ran at Arathor as he continued to swing his sword, but Arathor elbowed and floored him.
Rago, on the ground, saw Two Nazrule Soldiers, who appeared to be Younglings like him, run into the Main Citadel, where the King Ferecorn was.
And then, to Arathor's surprise, Rago got up and ran away, holding his sword.Gimitri saw that he was surrounded by countless corpses, as not long after he puked on the ground, coughing as he looked around, he could not get the visions out of his head. He had to get out of there.
So he ran, through many alleys of course, he heard fellow Nazrule Soldiers speaking their own tongue (which he could probably tell was battle cries and chants) as he walked up the road.
Suddenly, he felt someone grab his hand, it was his best friend; Perekin Bethel, or Perrin, standing infront of his own eyes, he wanted to hug him. But he was too stunned to do anything.
"Gimitri!" said Perrin. "I am so glad i found you, come with me!"
And then, together, they ran up the Slopes, and eventually made it to the Citadel. Gimitri had snapped back to reality, as Perrin explained his plan; "According to Eli (he was a messenger), King Ferecorn of Grandzam actually started this whole war, therefore we shalt confront him about it. And call it off! I am sick of seeing all these dead bodies, aren't you?"
Gimitri looked at Perrin. "Oh, yeah, totally, i can't stand it anymore."
Perrin nodded. "It's better than more casualties dead, lets hurry!"
Getting into the Citadel was easy, but getting into the Dining Hall was not, it was surrounded by armies worth of Guards, luckily the Duo had found another door, which led them to another Hallway, which led them into the Dining Hall itself, as it attracted a bunch of guards.
"Intruders of the Other Side!" said one. "Attack!"
Perrin and Gimitri nodded at eachother as they fought the guards, it took them a few minutes to take them all down; Perrin slashed their legs, causing them to fall down, whereas Gimitri stepped on their heads, knocking them out.
Confronting the King himself, and approaching the Shining Throne, Perrin aimed his blade at the King's neck, as his voice turned grim.
"Call the war off. Now!"Ten is soon!
