hello! this is a slightly longer chapter because i want to include a lot about Alin here, enjoy!

(back at the land of Cepil)
YUTO'S POV:

mama had baked some mooncakes for dimo's birthday yesterday, but we had some leftovers so i figured i'd drop by yena's shop and pass them to her since she was the biggest fan of mama's mooncakes.

"yup! i'll go to the flower shop and bring these over to yena, she'll love these!" i exclaimed as mama packed a variety of mooncakes into a small box intricately.

"yuto! while you're at it, we need more mango seeds.. pick some up please," dimo said from the sofa.

"again?! dimo... you eat mangoes like a pig!" i chuckled as dimo shot me a glare, using his telekinesis to hit my back with a broom.

"oi!" i laughed as dimo put the broom down with his telekinetic abilities.

"ma~ yuto's teasing me agaaaaainn!" he whined as mama made her way to me and handed me the box of mooncakes.

"yuto, pick up mango seeds for your brother and dimo! for the last time, the house is not a training ground for your abilities!" mama said, putting her hands on her waist.

"you'd better go dear. yena might be busy later on jf you go any later," mama said as she nudged me out of the house.

i quickly took my coat and headed for the shop.

oh man! yena's gonna love these... mama even made sure to leave her the red bean ones since those are her favourite!

i hummed as i made my way to yena's workplace. i couldn't stop thinking about how ecstatic she would be with these mooncakes.

mama's mooncakes are simply the best!

with the basket full of it in both my hands, i watched as the cherry blossoms from our trees slowly started to fall off each branch.

each petal hit the ground as light as a paper, its lifelessness was only emphasised.

"huh.." i muttered under my breath. cherry blossom season doesn't usually end this early, the cherry blossoms only started blooming last week...

it might be climate change, and so i shrugged it off. may not be a big deal!

i finally reached the wooden door to yena's shop and pushed it open, the small bell ringing above it.

the sound of the bell's ringing echoed in the seemingly empty shop... some plants starting to wilt.

"h-huh...?" i tilted my head. yena would never let her plants wilt... she cares for these plants more than she cares for herself at times.

"yena~?" i called out, but it seemed as if my voice  just bounced back to me. i looked around hesitantly, searching for any form of life.. or a human.

"i-i.. brought mooncakes," i muttered.

still no response.

that's when i noticed footsteps in the mud outside of her shop— footsteps that looked similar to yena's.

could she have gone outside for a bit?

i followed the footsteps engraved on the mud and found myself wandering near the barrier of Cepil; the barrier separating Cepil from other lands.

i noticed that the barrier lock had been destroyed, not unlocked... and the footsteps ended right here.

n-no way! did yena... l-leave Cepil? that's illegal...!! yena knows better than that, right?
