Chapter 5

Diluc fully collapsed it was late, the sisters asked him to leave but he refused to leave his brother behind, barbara said not to worry since kaeya doesn't feel pain currently, but how could he not worry? His brother was attacked and got frostbite. The sisters said they will pray to the Anemo archon to ask for a blessing, 'The same archon whos drinking his heart out in my tavern? You think he's gonna answer?' But to everyone's surprise a bard came into the cathedral, the same bard who's an archon. "Bard get out!" One of the sisters told him.

" Oh my child I am not here to sing, I am here since-" now quieting his voice and coming closer to diluc "I heard my name called and the news of my friends brother being severely injured."He said. Venti being the last person Diluc would want to catch a glimpse of in this moment snapped at him " Venti, for the sevens sake leave!" That was the queue for Jean ,who was still there helping Barbara, to get the bard to leave."Venti as you can see no one here wants your company, so please for the sake of everyone leave the cathedral in an instant before barbara catches a glimpse of you and doesn't shoo you of herself." The acting grandmaster said calmly and git an archon to leave, then hurried back to Barbara.  Out of nowhere there was an echo of someones voice being so quiet yet everyone heard. "Where's...Di..luc?" The voice  muttered, in an instant Diluc ran towards the sound of his voice.
Before he could reach him, there was another murmur but this time quieter. "I am so...sorry for..the day which..dad-" whilst Kaeya was rambling about that day, Diluc began to shed tears and thought about all of those times all three of them, Him, Kaeya and Crepus would travel somewhere. Even though Barbara said that Kaeya will make it, it was nothing more than her gripping on to hairs of hope, they both knew, all of them knew that the chance he makes it was slim but not Impossible.
" Kae-Brother, I am here! It's me Diluc!"

The last thing Kaeya ever saw was his brother hugging him while bawling his eyes, he smiled happily, and closed his eyes. "No.. NO! BROTHER!" Diluc cried into his brothers chest for hours.. even when the other knights had to peal him of He couldn't let go.
