"Where the hell do you think you're going?" She screams.
"I'm leaving, I'm done." I scream back at her.
My father stomps up to me, slamming me against the yellow smoke covered wall and throwing my suitcase in the kitchen.
Fuck, he rarely gets this aggressive.
"You wanna leave? You wanna leave your poor ole' mother and father to die?" My father hisses.
I hate him, I really fucking hate him.
"You're not going anywhere, you bitch." My father spits out, my mother crossing her arms and wobbling while trying to stand up straight.
I looked around me to see the white powder on the table. It won't be another twenty minutes until Officer Shelly gets here.
I have to move fast, I can outrun him.
These thoughts echo through my mind.In a quick sprint, I run to the kitchen and bend down to grab my suitcase. My father begins yelling and chases after me.
After I grab my suitcase, I run out of the back door in the kitchen and enter into the trashy backyard full of dirt, rodents, and rotting wood. I throw my suitcase over the fence and begin to climb over. I listen to my father yell and curse at me when suddenly I get caught on a small piece of wood.
"You stupid bitch. You can try to run but you can't hide from what you truly are." I try to block out his spiteful words."You'll just end up back here like the rest of us no matter how far away you go. You'll never become anything you pathetic whore." I keep wrestling to get out from being stuck under the piece of wood, his words slowly comprehending in my head. "Just stay here with mommy and daddy, we'll take good care of ya." He slurred before I finally fell over the edge of the fence.
I grab my suitcase and run to the front of the house, picking up my other box before I sprint down the block, awaiting Officer Shelly.
My body jumps, startled by the sound of the morning alarm that reads 7:15 AM. I quickly shut it off and rub my eyes open, revealing the golden sun peaking through the blinds.
"Well rise and shine, Sleeping Beauty." Cove coos and walks out of the closet with a smile on her face and a brush in her hand, combing through her long platinum hair.
How the hell is she already cheeky this early?
Saying nothing, I step out of my twin sized bed and begin walking towards the double sided closet.
