"But my question is, how did that happen? How was it that suddenly everyone in the world was saying 'music has charms to soothe the savage beast' when it was written breast." Lorelai complained as the three Gilmore Girls walked towards Luke's.
"I don't know. At some point someone misspoke and it just caught on." Rory sighed trying to get the conversation to be over, Vic just watched the conversation like a ping pong match. "How do things like that catch on?" The mother asked making Rory roll her eyes while the younger twin giggled under her breath.
"Mom, please, you're driving me crazy." Rory said with a sigh as they crossed the street towards Luke's. "I mean, did some guy like say it at a big rally of some sort and everyone went home and started saying it that way and then it just spread from there?" The twins mother asked as they walked into Luke's, Vic giggled again.
While she loves her clubs, the days that she got to spend with her mother and sister before school, she loves those days even more. "Yes, exactly." Vic said playfully, the mother of two narrowed her eyes at the two girls. "Oh, now you're just trying to shut me up." The mother said as they walked into Luke's which was surprisingly empty except for Luke.
"Oh my God." The shortest Gilmore gasped in disbelief before pushing up her glasses, she really needed to stop making bets with her boyfriend or else she will never not be wearing her glasses. "What?" Rory asked, looking around the empty place. "Look." Lorelai said following her daughters train of thought.
"Empty."
"Just one of those weird lulls, happens occasionally." Luke explained as he walked past them, ruffling Vic's hair, the girl pouted before fixing it. "Can we sit wherever we like?" Rory asked after glancing at her mother who was still in shock.
"Wherever you like." Luke confirmed as he walked away. "Wow." Rory sarcastically cheered. "Such luxury I never dreamed of." Vic continued with fake excitement. "Where do you wanna sit?" Rory asked her mother and sister, waving towards all the empty tables. "I don't know. Um, how 'bout this table with it's unobstructed westward view of the wide cosmopolitan expansive Klump Street?" Lorelai offered making her youngest giggle.
"Tempting. Do you know that on a clear day you can see all the way to the garbage cans behind Al's Pancake World?" Vic asked as she glanced around the place. "Hm. Or we could sit in the corner - you know, the Mafia table so that no one can come up behind you and whack you with a cannoli." Lorelai stated confusing the girls and getting a weird look from Luke as he wiped down a table.
"Whack you with a cannoli? Oh, because he left the gun and took the cannoli." The twins said with smiles which made Lorelai smile as well. "You're so my daughters." The mother said proudly making the girls beam up at her. "Aye aye aye." Luke groaned as he went behind the counter, already done with the Gilmore's antics.
"Hey, let's sit at the counter." Vic said waving towards the said place with her magazine. "Nah, the counter, those are not the power seats." Rory denied, they could sit anywhere, why at the counter. "Yes, but with no one here we can sit at either end and play bagel hockey." Lorelai explained, following her youngest train of thought, holding her hands out to gesture where each could sit.
"Ooh, bagel hockey! Oh boy!" Rory cheered as the three headed towards the counter. "Just sit at a table." Luke said gesturing to the empty diner. "Oh, you're awfully rude for a guy who only has three paying customers." Lorelai snarked leading her daughters to one of the tables.
"Okay, 3:30 on Friday - my debate at Chilton. Write it down." Rory instructed as the girls reached their table, the twins setting down their bags before sitting. "Already written." Lorelai said taking off her gloves. "Good." The older twin stated while Vic smile at her twin happily. She was very proud of her.
