In the tenebrous forest where moonlight weaves,
A trembling prey, heart racing wild, seeks reprieve.
The predator, eyes blazing with fire
stalks silently, fueled with animalistic desire.
Through rose-tangled thickets and moon-kissed glades
the prey darts
hooves pounding the earth
a symphony of hearts.
Each breath a prayer
each step a desperate plea
to elude the jaws that hunger
to be free.
The empyrean moon, a silent witness casts her silver glow
as the chase unfolds
fate's ebb and flow.
The leaves whisper surreptitiously,
branches bend in grace
guiding the prey towards its elusive escape.
The predator's breath hot upon its flank
yet hope ignites within – a spark unbanked.
Muscles strain, sinews stretch and valiance blooms
as the prey defies its kismet
staggering through the gloom.
A moon-dappled stream appears,
its water cool and clear
A latibule beckoning,
salvation draws near!
The prey leaps, heart soaring into the unknown,
breaking the surface, leaving trepidation overthrown.
The predator hesitates, eyes narrowing in doubt,
As ripples fade and the prey swims about.
Freedom tastes like rain on parched tongue,
And the star-strewn forest holds its breath –
a moment slung.
But the selene keeps its secret, and a vichyssoise of shadows conspire,
For the survival's dance is an ethereal choir.
The prey now safe, will reminisce this night
when it outwitted letum and took flight.
And the predator? It slinks back to the trees
famished, yet humbled by the prey's release.
"Run, little prey," he murmurs lowly,
"You may have escaped me this time but never again."
"For wherever you flee, may it be land or sea,"
"I'll find you, my dear, eternally."

So, I did that! Omg! Words cannot express how ecstatic I am to publish this book. The plot has been on my mind for a while now and here I am finally posting it. Personally, this is a huge accomplishment for me and I'm super proud of myself.
