A few weeks had past and it was official. El and Will were living together under one roof. She was around the party if they came over but she never imposed in other people's houses. She hadn't talked to Mike since the night on the hilltop. She finally felt like he didn't hate her which was what she wanted. She didn't want to be friends with him but she didn't wanna make Wills life hell.
The group at at Wills place this Friday night. They were all sitting in the living room watching a movie.
"Where's El tonight? I was kinda hoping she'd hang with us since we were here" Max asked.
"Oh, She said something about Jennifer having a party so I think she's getting ready for that" Will shurgged.
"And we weren't invited?!" Dustin Exclaims.
"Were not popular" Mike laughs.
"Well, I'm still offended" Dustin laughed along with him.
"Were going to Mike's later anyways, not like we'd see her much" Lucas commented and then they heard footsteps coming down the stairs.
"Holy Shit El!!" Max screamed making the boys cover their ears.
"You look hot!!" Dustin yelled and Will slapped him.
El giggled and smiled widely ""Why thank you!"
"Your going out in that?" Will asked shocked.
"I'll be fine Will. You don't have to play protective big brother" El laughed.
"Seriously El, you look smoking!!" Max yelled again.
"Thank you guys! Will I should be back by midnight if you come home and I'm still gone"
"Sounds good! I should be back by then" Will nodded.
El smiled and gave a small wave and headed for the door, stopping at the fridge for a drink.
She jumped and yelped when she turned around and saw Mike standing there.
"Sorry, I was just grabbing us something to drink" Mike chuckled pointing at the fridge.
"No! That's okay! I just scare easy" El giggled.
Mike nodded and gave her a small smile.
"Hey Mike... can I ask you something?" El asked softly.
"Umm... I guess so?" Mike questioned.
"It's just, out of all of Wills friends your the most brutally honest" El said with a slight laugh.
Mike chuckled and nodded
"Okay! I know they're all being super nice just cause I'm Wills sister basically. But honestly... is this to much?" She asked pointing at herself.
"Like... do I look okay?" She asks again and looks up at him.
Mike arched his eyebrow up opening and closing his mouth, unsure of what to say.
"Be honest, I'm a big girl I can take it" She smiled.
"Honestly...." Mike said quietly.
El batted her eyelashes and nodded.
"Honestly... you look really pretty" Mike said quietly so his friends in the next room didn't hear him.
El starred at him wide eyed and smiled.
"Did Mike Wheeler just call me pretty?" El gasped and giggled
Mike rolled his eyes and chuckled "Oh! Don't let it get to your head"
