"Wait wait," Fatima's father stopped everyone from eating. "A toast to Tika and Nick, for their engagement."

They kissed and then he stopped us again, "And Fatima and Zac, maybe you'll be back sometime soon celebrating something."

I smiled at him and leaned in to kiss Fatima's cheek, she blushed. "Finally to 30 years with my wonderful wife."

"Aww Cheers!" Tima spoke with a huge grin, I loved how much she looked up to her mother and father.

Since we've been here I noticed the smiles and grins she get whenever they show emotion to one another. I love it.

"Hm so Zac, why don't you tell us how you managed to act and do real estate." Tika started the conversation off with me.

"We'll it's a bit difficult but I try, my baby here helps with with all the auditions and running through lines and things."

"I have a few buddies back home who send me knew homes and all that good boring stuff." I said to her.

"Oh no, you're good at acting. Real good, I can tell. You have to have a lot of patience to tolerate Tima." She giggled evily.

I don't understand why she's so jealous of Fatima but i mind my business. "So what've you guys been dating what? 3 months."

"Mhmm."

"You must've gotten to know T really well in three months huh Zac?" She gave me a glare, she's so aggravating.

"Enough to know what I like about her." Fatima smiled at me, she's been holding her tongue this whole time.

I already know if she speaks it'll be an insult to her sister. "So what about her likes?" Tika shrugged.

"I mean you have to admit she does have a couple of strange preferences." Everyone laughed because that was true.

"I mean her favorite Icecream- I cut her off. I knew that because we went on a ice cream date when we were practicing for this.

She ordered it and I said 'What in the hell type of icecream is that?' She rolled her eyes and said 'What? it's my favorite.'

"Right? Like purlin and pistachios with little strawberries on the top. Random." Fatima couldn't help but smile.

I love her smile.

Her father gave us wide eyes, I could tell no one has ever paid attention to his daughter the way I'm showing I do. "Really random,"

"Oh and let's take her breakfast," she bit into her asparagus not expecting me to answer, but I did.

"Exactly 2 eggs, over easy, pomegranate juice on the side a pickle. And the biggest blackest cup of coffee she can get her little tiny hands on."

Fatima was so impressed, I could see the joy in her face each time she looked in my direction, I felt proud.

"You really be listening to me," she mumbled to me and I nodded with a smile, she leaned in and pecked my cheek.

"That's right, that's my babygirl." Her mother spoke, Tika looked pissed. Yet she kept grilling me.

"You know what's also crazy about her? Her taste in music." She stopped and waited on me to speak.

"Who are you telling?" I genuinely did hate her taste in music, I was not just saying this to prove I know her.

"I swear if I head another Mariah Carey song, sir I apologize but I'm jumping off your balcony tonight."

We all laughed just when Nick got a call, the room went silent and we all turned in his direction.

"Sorry guys I gotta take this, excuse me." He blew Tika a kiss before getting up in a hurry.

"Hm, Tika your fiancé seems to be very preoccupied on your wedding weekend." Fatima finally spoke.

See I knew it, I placed my hand on her thigh and squeezed it. She looked up over at me with a small pout.

Lately that's how I've been getting her to stop with the attitude or unnecessary comments she makes.

"Well he's just busy." Tika mugged T and gave her the most harshest tone. "Oh yea bet he is," Fatima mumbled.

"What's with all the questions, mommy! make her stop picking on me please?" Wasn't she just- Okay.

"Sorry guys, dentist work just never stops, ha" Nick returned to the table. "So what are we talking about?"

"Well as it would just so happen they were talking about you." I spoke to Nick, "Is that so?"

"No I wasn't, I was talking about Zac." Tika said looking at me, I let out a low huff.

"Well as long as we doing all this talking, I hope the talking is nice, I hope." Nick said with a smile.

I shook my head, "So Fay, we seem to know a lot about you from Zac's eyes. Why don't you tell us a bit about Zac."

Fatima looked up at me and gulped, "I mean look at him, he speak for himself." She was getting nervous.

Fatima never really took the liberty of getting to know me like I did her. I was attracted to her and she didn't feel the same so?

I wanted to get to know her, I want to know all her favorite things, her likes and dislikes, her work ethnic, the way she does her hair etc.

She doesn't and that's fine, "Uh but um you know he's from um- Cleveland, Ohio!" We said together.

"Yep , good ole midwestern boy with a good family and uh moved to California to pursue- go to school." I cut her off.

"Yea to pursue an education, yea so." She quieted down, "So what school did you go to? What did you major in?"

"Um excuse me I think I hear my phone, it's ringing. If you'll excuse me." She lied, her phone was in her pocket.

She moved my hand off her thigh and got up, "I'll let Zac tell you the rest, sorry. I'll be right back baby." She kissed my lips.

I started smiling like I was the man, for the first time she initiated a kiss on my lips and not my cheek.

And not because she needed to or had to but because she wanted to. "Lord have mercy what is with these phone?" Ms Anita spoke.

"Growing up in my day dinner time was for dinner."

"These says you have to let the kids be kids, you know they have Apps! apps?" Mr John spoke after her.

"Apps?" , "Yea apps, they take up a lot of time."
I laughed at their little encounter. "It's like being in a room full of delinquent 15 year olds."

"You know what? I'll excuse myself, I've lost my appetite." Tika got up and left, damn everyone just leaving huh?

"Sweetheart," Nick grabbed her arm but she just walked off, "Pass the wine please." He said to Ms Anita.

I laughed and continued to enjoy my food.
