When I drew near to the house, Seji was already sitting on the railing of the porch, watching my approach. I smiled nervously.
"What are you doing up so early?" I asked.

"Oh just admiring the morning sun", he replied.

I look over at him. He actually looked quite striking. His dark brown hair, green eyes, firm jaw. I really need to focus.

"When do we plan on leaving?" I asked.

"When we eat breakfast, if that's alright," He smiled.
'Wow that smile," I thought, 'Stop it!'

"Sounds good to me."
I walked toward the door.

"They might not be up for a while. Um, do you want me to show you a couple of moves, you know, so you can protect yourself better if something comes along out there?"

I contained my histeric laugh at his awkwardness, "Sure, Why not."

We walked out into the field once more. Once we came to a stop, Seji asked me, "What do you know about defence and offence?"

"Defense is keeping yourself protected from the action of the enemy. Offence is inflicting pain on the enemy."

"Correct," he answered. "Do you know any specific moves?"

"Yes."

"Alright. Come at me in an offensive action."

I crouched and spun my leg in a complete circle, catching him completely off gaurd. He looked up at me from the grass incomplete surprise. "I guess you know more than I anticipated."

I helped him to his feet. "I reken so. Let's test my offence then, eh?"

"If you say so." He sprung up in the air, coming down at me with his foot. I sprung to the side as he landed on the soft grass.

"Again," I said.

He came at me with an iron fist, attempting to catch me one in the face or arm. I blocked him again, and again. Sooner or later I would catch on in the stomach. When he finally got me pretty good he stopped.

"Your pretty good, you know that? Who taught you this stuff?"

"Anyone along my travels who was willing to teach me," I replied.

"Come on kids, time to eat!" Shouted the old man from the kitchen window.

"Coming!" we shouted back.
