I hopped on my speeder and opened my hand to find a shell necklace. This wasn't just an ordinary necklace; it was my mother's. The same necklace my father brought home after going to Typhon. I scraped myself together and shut down the years before they started.
A second after my breathing returned to normal and the necklace was safely around my neck and under my shirt, Seji pushed out a deep red speeder out from in between the house and the storage barn. "Kat, I'd like you to meet my pride and joy, Oko.
I looked at him eyebrows up and eventually broke into a mockingly serious face "Why Oko, it is such a pleasure to meet you. I think you and I will get along smashingly. But, I don't know about that guy over there, I feel so sorry that you have to lug him around everywhere." I smile at him. "Please be careful with her Seji, you wouldn't want her to hurt you, but a girls gotta do what a girls gotta do."
He gives me the look of 'dang it you won that round you fool' and we mount up and race each other along the open grassland.
