I took a deep breath as I heaved my cruizer into the cargo hold. I took out the strapps from the tool box and I had it firmly strapped to one side of the hold in seconds.

I'd decided to let my crew sit this one out. Besides, they needed some R and R. I, on the other hand, use work as my excuse to forget the past. The past isn't the present and It cannot be allowed to effect our future. That's what I learned from the bounty hunters that took me aboard years ago.

I had my ship all gassed up and ready to go. I took a glass of water and took my place in the cockpit. I remember when the boys fighting for the republic taught me to fly. They'd been proud when I set out to capture my first person about 30 miles away from the outpost.

I started the engine and pulled through the planet's thin atmosphere and into the wide, black expanse. I set the coordinates and jumped to hyperspeed.
