Bella Cullen
I ran over to Brooke and held her head from behind her. Edward and Emmett came over to us because they knew what I wanted to do. I needed to end this. All the deaths, all the scheming, plotting, all the sadness, all of it.
I focused on using all my strength. Sure enough, cracks appeared on the sides of Brooke's face. She had a horrified expression, like the hadn't expected me to do it. I hadn't either. But, when it comes to my family, I'll try anything to protect them. And this was the only way.
A loud, cracking sound was heard when I broke off her head. Edward and Emmett broke off her arms as well. Jacob rushed over to us and put the pieces in a large black plastic bag.
"What's that for?" I asked.
"Oh, when we burn a vampire, tradition is to spread the ashes at different locations so it can't join up again." He explained.
I shrugged and helped him.
Suddenly, we heard leaves rustling.
"C'mon, I heard this is the best spot." An english-accented person said. I could hear two people, and they were getting closer and closer.
The wolf pack had already retreated back into the forest. The sun came out from behind the clouds and us vampires shone like crazy.
I must have looked pretty freaked out because Jake said, "It's okay, I'll take care of this." He gestured to the bag.
Edward reached into his pocket and pulled out a small black lighter. "Here." He threw it to Jacob.
"See ya Jake." I said and followed the rest out of the clearing. When I looked back I saw him head out towards the sea.
I felt victorious. We had won this battle. I also felt bad too. She was my friend. A good one at that. She had trusted me with her secret, and I betrayed her.
I had lost a good friend, evil, but still good.
