.... (And if you can't pronounce Dlo, it's pronounced (D-low) )
Kayla
I stood in front of the mirror, looking for something to wear. It was about five PM and I was going to Dlo's place. Donte was at some type of "interview", but I had a few hours for myself, without him down my back. I decided to wear a pair of blue jeans, and a loose blue sweater.
I texted Dlo that I was going to make my way over. He replied back with an "okay".
I slid on a pair of combat boots. It's summer, but here in New York, its been rainy.
I took my keys and walked outside towards the car, trying my best not to get my hair wet. I turned on the radio and pulled out of our driveway, heading towards the highway. I didn't know what Dlo was planning, I don't even know why I still talk to his ass. It better be good. I don't want to have to keep dealing with the same shit.
It's like a never ending cycle; he does stupid shit, we argue, he asked me to forgive him, then he does stupid shit again. I don't know, I feel like he could just be a friend. Donte doesn't understand that though.
I got to his huge house in downtown, then parked the car. I walked up to his front door, knocking twice. I bit my lip, waiting for him. I haven't seen him in weeks.
I sat out in the rain for one minute, before I tried to twist open the door knob. Luckily it was unlocked, or I would have left.
"Dlo!?" I yelled. My voice echoed back at me. Dlo came out behind me. He smiled.
"You showed up?"
I fake smiled. "I guess." I welcomed myself and sat on his couch. He turned around towards me and sat on the other couch near me. "What do you want to talk about?" I asked.
"Just wanted to see what was up." He leaned back, smiling. His dimple sunk in. That's the thing about him, he's attractive. He has dimples, and hazel eyes. I can't stay mad at him, but I'm not being a good girlfriend because I know Donte doesn't like him.
"Dlo, I'm not doing shit with you besides talking, if you're not going to take me seriously, I'll leave." I said, standing up.
He furrowed his eyebrows, as if I had something wrong with me.
"You could sit back down," He ordered. "And that's all I wanted to do, talk." He finished.
I sat back down, and looked at him.
"Dlo, I don't understand why you have to make things so hard. I don't like how you always hurt me. You cheated on my repeatedly, you lie, and you are so fucking bipolar." I explained.
"Bipolar?" He looked at me. I didn't really think he cared about what I was saying.
"One day, you want me, then you treat me like shit."
"I'm sorry, but can't we just put all that behind? Damn Kayla Donte really changed you."
"What are you talking about?"
"You used to be my friend, and my girlfriend. Now you're fucking with that nigga, and he made you turn on me." He said. He sounded like a dumbass.
"He didn't make me turn on you, Dlo."
"You just think that." He said. "I know Donte, he's been through a lot of hoes." He laughed.
"Well that's before we got together." I stuck up for my man.
"You witnessed his ass cheating on Mackenzie with you! He dumped her like she wasn't shit to him, he'll do the same thing to you baby girl."
"He wouldn't do that to me." I began getting mad and sad at the same time. Would Donte really cheat on me?
