The days following Kat's Halloween party were lonely for Casper. It got him thinking, being stuck as a ghost was tiring and it made him feel restless. Being a human again made Casper feel, well, alive! It made him feel free. For that brief night, he wasn't trapped in time anymore.

Casper missed being able to hold Kat's hand with flesh and blood, but now he was see-through again. The idea of never being able again made Casper sad.

The next morning, Kat left for school, and her father got to work with Casper's uncles once again on future projects they were planning. Casper had made everyone breakfast and tidied the living space. The sun was bright and beautiful and gave Casper a glimmer of hope.

Casper decided he wanted to go to school for the day. He wanted a break from the old house he and his family had grown up in. It made him sad that he had been such a fool when he was alive. His mother and father had told him to come home, but he stayed to continue sledding, but never came home.

It was foolish of him to trade sledding for his life. He deeply missed his mother and father, but longed to have another chance at the life he used to have. He felt troubled, and misunderstood from his uncles. They clearly could care less about Caspers awful mistake.

Casper needed to let go, he needed company, he felt so lonely all the time now that Kat was back in school and Kat's father was occupied with his three uncles.

Fatso and Stinkie were clueless, but Stretch knew a thing or two about the situation.

Casper was certainly set on going to school now, being alone was the last thing he wanted. He flew out the window and down the street, traveling through the telephone poles until he reached the junior high.

searching the classrooms cautiously, Casper found Kat in the library looking at some books. He jumped onto the cover of Kat's book as she opened the book, curious about concepts the book might hold. It was a book called Night by Eli Wiesel. It was a story about the world war 2 concentration camps.

Kat looked at the book with sad eyes, she needed a history book for her book report, but reading the description made her sad. People were treated horribly world war two. Setting the book back down, Casper is squished under the book, making a quiet sad as Kat begins to walk away.

Kat turns toward the noise, a bit confused. The voice had sounded quite familiar, but surely Casper wasn't here at school right now, was he?

Picking the book back up, to Kat's surprise, Casper is seen flatten on the bookshelf.

"Casper?! Are you alright?"

Casper rubs his eyes as he blows himself up.

"What are you doing here?" Kat continues, looking around the library, she worried someone might see Casper.

Casper could care less about being seen, he was jealous of Kat being able to go to school, he wanted to live a life like hers, and be apart of her life in a non ghost way.

Before he can stop himself, Casper blurts, "I wish I was like you, Kat." Casper frowns. "I want to live a life like yours."
