I watched the seconds fall away on the little device on the underside of my wrist, 3 months, 17 days, 9 hours, and 4 seconds. "Leah. Leah!" The teacher looked at me impatiently.

"Ye-yes?" I said as I straighten in my school chair. The whole class started laughing, my face turned hot.

"What is the answer to number fourteen?" Mrs. Lauren asked slowly as if speaking to a child.

I took a quick glance at the paper ignoring the boys who were staring at my flushed cheeks, and the girls who were glaring at me.

"Um..." I mumbled reading and rereading the question over and over again unable to find the answer that seemed hidden in the text.

Ring.

Oh thank god. I now understood the meaning of the term "saved by the bell". I ran out of the class with everyone else, ducking my head and trying not to look noticeable. Which of course failed.

"Hey Babe," a voice said.

Kayden Leone.

Lady's man.

Oh, how I hate that guy.

I tried to turn away to leave but his arm caught me and he backed me up to the wall. Kayden had one hand in his pocket and the other on the wall.

"Baby, why don't you let me have a chance?" He asked, his head close to mine. I turned my head so I wouldn't have to look at him.

"Just leave me alone!" I said, annoyed. He put his hand on my hip, making my eyes grow wide and my body rigid. His hand slowly inched up my body to my chin. He turned my head to face him with his index finger. Most of the people in the hall turned and watched us, my stomach churned violently.

"Leah, did I ever tell you how beautiful you are?" Kayden flirted, or at least, tried to.

"Yes, actually many times." I hissed and balled my fists.

"Calm down, baby." He said in his smooth voice which ticked me off so much.

"I'll calm down when you leave me alone!" I practically yelled at him.

"I like my girls feisty.", Kayden smirked and kissed me on the cheek. I almost threw up, I need to get out of here. "I won't until you let me have a chance." He said as I wiped off my cheek with my shirt sleeve.

"As in a date? With you? Never." I was sick of him. I tried to push Kayden but he stayed there, I could feel his muscles thought his obnoxiously, bright blue t-shirt.

"You can't force a girl to go on a date with you!" I said. "Plus there's like 20 other girls willing to shove their tongues down your throat anyway!"

Kayden smirked and trailed a finger down my cheek, "But I don't want them."

I felt an odd growl rumble in my chest and I began to think about punching him before someone beat me to it. A fist flew past me and it hit him in the nose. I heard his nose crack as it broke and I stumbled a little since he had pulled me into him a little as he fell. An arm quickly caught me around the waist steading me, then just as quickly let go of me as I whipped around to see who it was. Levi Rives. The class comedian and tall, tan, muscular football player. The spot where he had touched me tingled, sending chills through my body. He was shy with girls so he never dated that I knew of. But then again, it was kind of taboo to be serious with anyone before you meet your soulmate.

He avoided my gaze and looked down and said quietly, "Sorry. He was getting on my nerves."

He started to shuffle off before I could say anything. Soon teachers got wind of what happened and we got sent to the office. People where talking about it around school and now almost everyone knew, it spread like wildfire. I guess people will pounce on any drama they can get their hands on.
