When I was just a little girl I would watch the seconds fall away like leaves from a tree in the fall. The little time clock that stayed on my left wrist, counting down. Years, months, weeks, days, hours, minutes, seconds. It counted down until I met my soulmate. I wondered what he would look like, how he talked, if he's smart, what are his hobbies?
My mother would tell me stories about how she met her soulmate, my father. It always would fascinate me, "How did you feel?" I would ask it every time she told the story and it was always be the same answer: "You will find out when your older because there are no words to describe it."
When I was little that answer was fine but as I grew up that answer grew insufficient and I begged for more, she has never gave in and never told me.
I'm 16 years old, my name is Leah and I'm pretty unextraordinary. I was born and raised in a town called Brackenridge, it is located near an ocean so it's pretty weather most of the time. I'm a junior at Brackenridge High and am I'm pursuing to become a writer/novelist.
But at the same time, this year is when I get to meet my soulmate. I'm scared but excited. Nervous but at the same time not. I'm just a complete jumbled mix of emotions. Nothing could prepare me for what was going to happen in the next few months of my life...
