I was awoken by the sweet scent of Tommy. I opened my eyes and saw him sleeping.
I smiled as his lips parted from his dream.
His phone rang. He groaned and turned over and answered.
"Hello?" His morning voice was so sexy. I heard Adam on the phone.
"I'll be up and ready in 1 hour." He said, before hanging up and turning around to look at me.
"Good morning, sweetie." he whispered, smiling at me. I smiled and he gently closed his eyes.
"C'mon kitty, we've got to get up." I said, holding his face. He groaned and stood up.
I stood up too. He walked into the bathroom and took a shower while I put on my clothes. I wore a black and white plaid shirt with black skinny jeans.
Tommy came out and looked at me. He was also wearing a black and white plaid shirt with black skinny jeans.
"Great minds think alike." He said laughing.
"I'll go change." I said, going through my bag trying to find something to wear.
He grabbed my hips and turned me around.
"What if I dont want you to change?" He said, smirking at me.
"But, we'll be matching." I pleaded. He just laughed and shook his head.
"Babe, I really don't care." He said chuckling. I smiled.
Adam came in and saw us matching.
"You guys look cute. Matching. C'mon we're gunna be late." He said. We hurried down to the bus and got on. We drove to the radio station.
When we arrived, we stepped inside. I stood beside Tommy and Alana. I felt really awkward.
We stepped inside the room and sat in front of each mic. I sat beside Alana.
"Hello everyone! We are here with Adam Lambert, Tommy Joe Ratliff, Alana Williams, and Charley Williams."
"Hi. How are you?" Adam asked.
"We've been good the man said.
"I want to speak to Charley, if that's right?" He looked at me. I nodded.
"How did you end up becoming a member of the band?"
"I don't really consider myself a member of the band. I don't play anything. I'm just kind've here."
"But isn't it weird, seeing what goes on behind the action of the stage?" The interviewer asked.
"Not really. Adam and his band is just like everyone else. Very laid back."
"What about you and Tommy? I saw his tweets." He smiled and winked. Me and Tommy looked at each other.
"People just don't understand that what they say doesn't hurt me. And Tommy stands up for me, because we're close." I said, looking at Tommy and smiling.
He smiles back.
"Tommy, what are your thoughts on Charley?" He asked. Tommy looked at me and winked.
"I think she's beautiful. And she's powerful. She's got such a brilliant imagination and she's such a strong human being. She understands that people want her to be something she's not. And she knows that she will never be able to live up to their expectations and it doesn't bother her, because she knows she can do better than what they expect. She's felt what it's like tonot be good enough and it doesn't do anything to her besides make her stronger. And that's how she deserves to feel." What he said made a tear drip down my cheek. I wiped it away before seeing him smile at me.
Not a smirk or a meaningless smile. A smile filled with friendship amd love.
"Wow, well said Tommy." Adam said, giving him a high five.
"What about you Alana? How's it like being on tour with Adam and his band?" Alana's face became red with anxiety.
"Its honestly terrifying. I don't know how he goes on stage with no anxious thoughts. He's so strong."
"If you don't mind me asking, how did you and your sister even get on tour with him?
"I went to his concert in Atlanta, after it was over I was hit by a car. I was fine, it justknocked me out and scraped my arm up a little. Monte fixed me up and the rest of the band helped heal me up. Emotionally and physically. They've made me stronger. All of them." I said, smiling at Adam and Tommy.
"What about you?" He said, looking at Alana.
"I'd prefer not to talk about it," she said.
"Why's that?"
"She said she didn't want to talk about it. Leave it alone," I said, standing up for my sister. She nodded.
"When I was 15. I moved in with my boyfriend. He became violent and started to hit me and choke me and beat me. I wasn't allowed to leave the house or call anyone. He kicked me out and I lived on the streets, in and out of jobs and even giving myself away to filthy savage like men, just to make some money to buy food. People say they went through hell, they have no idea." She said, bringing tears to my eyes.
She was such a strong person. I loved it.
The interview went on for another few minutes and then we left. I hugged her and told her that she was strong.
When we got back to the room, I sat on the bed while watching Tommy go through his clothes and find something to wear to the show tonight.
"What you said about me today, did you mean it?" I asked.
"Of course, I did. Charley... you inspire me. You're so beautiful, it kills me." He edged closer to me on the bed. I leaned my face against his chest.
He ran his fingers through my hair. It felt really good. He smiled at me.
"Tommy, you inspire me too." I said, pulling away from me. He looked through my eyes and saw my core.
"Baby, you have no idea."
"Why do you call me baby? Thats a really cliche nickname," I say, causing him to roll his eyes.
"What would you like to be called?" He asked. I thought about it for a while.
"Mmm, princess." I said, smiling. I slid under the blankets and slowly watched him sneak into them with me.
"Well, then. Good night princess," He smiled and entwined our fingers together before drifting to sleep.
