Quiet Room

Strolling down the memory lane
How we met, how we kiss,
how you take away the pain
I miss your embrace as we watch the rain falls on my windowpane
Now, it's avoiding the rain just to stay sane.

The music on the radio reminds me of us
Slow dancing but just like how fast the music ends, you left with a rush
I would gladly let you win our little clash
Just for this moment, this time standing
next to you last.

Pacing back and forth on this kitchen table
Your chair is still on the kitchen floor, reminiscing how you left it makes me chuckle
The way we fire bullets out of our words in this room where we battle
Laughing at it after like nothing happened, in hand is a vodka bottle.

The solace the once chaotic room provides could never compare
To this new quiet room where I only have myself to stare
Although it was a bit unfair that you are happy now, I could only utter a prayer
Prayer that if you come back,
I will be waiting here.
