Her cheeks flush a little. "You won't hurt me". Kazuha smiles at her. "Now what medicine should you take now?". The smile was short-lived when she took out numerous bottles from her bags. Kazuha shivers again. Per Mina's request Kazuha drank a couple of medicinal drinks.
They tasted gross as usual. He also got an ear-full from her about using his hand. She cautioned him about straining his hand and even gave him a checkup. "Any pain?". Kazuha shakes his head. He was slightly embarrassed as Beidou watched. 'She's skilled at this' thought Beidou.
Beidou had a lightbulb go off. "Mina, would you consider helping with the bout?". The two looked at her. "I don't mind, but I can't fight". Beidou shakes her head. "Not as a fighter but as a doctor. These bouts always cause injury". She continues "Of course I'll pay you". Mina thinks for a while and finishes wrapping Kazuha's hand.
She then turns to the captain. "Sure". This is a good opportunity to see others fight. Maybe she could take some pointers. Beidou takes Mina to a place where she could set up.
The bout begins as Lumine has her first opponent. Mina watched her fight from a distance and saw how grateful she fought. Deep down Mina was jealous of those who knew how to fight. She was a catalyst user who specialized in healing.
Her catalyst was a medical book full of medical knowledge she wrote down on it. Not a very good thing for fighting. The 0nly thing she could muster was a small icicle. Which couldn't help her in battle at all. It felt as though she was limiting herself. Why? She doesn't know.
The first match ends with Lumine as the victor and also Mina's first patient. Lumine didn't hold back at all. The guys had various small cuts from her sword. She was lost in thought as her patient rambled about losing. "Um Doc are you listening?".
He snaps her out of her thoughts. "Y-Yeah, there you go all finished". He thanks her and leaves. Not far away Kazuha kept his eye on her. 'Is something on her mind? She's spacing out a lot' he thought. "Your friend is skilled" said Beidou.
Kazuha nods and smiles. "Ms, Mina, loves helping others". She could tell. "But don't you think something is bothering her?". Kazuha glances at Mina who was staring off into space. "Yes, something is definitely bothering her".
He noticed the way she watched the first battle. "Maybe you should talk to her. The second round is about to start". He nods as Beidou leaves. He was about to go talk to her but was stopped by Lumine. "May I talk to you?". He nods "Of course". She asked for some pointers about the upcoming challengers.
He had gotten sidetracked and went somewhere with Lumine. She has elemental skills and didn't use them in battle. Lumine told him about how she is able to use elemental energy without a vision. Also, about Paimon's knowledge about this stuff.
Kazuha then asks if he could see her combat abilities in exchange for the knowledge of the other fighters. Lumine proudly took out some slimes and used her elemental skills. He commends her ability and tells her how she can fight the other opponent.
Kazuha also tells her about what's going on in Inazuma and why he's so fascinated by visions and their connections to the elements. He then talks about the Archon in Inazuma and her ruthless tactics against visions. "I hoped that helped".
Lumine nods and smiles "Yes it did thank you". His pointers will help her for her next battle. Later he'll talk to Mina to see what's been bothering her. It's the least he could do since he lied to her a few times.
A/N: Hi Everyone! How are you? Mina's yearning to be able to fight shines in the chapter. Later, Kazuha will teach her how to fight. See you guys later!
See you soon!
