It's the start of your favorite season. The trees that shed those leaves are deciduous and the scent of vanilla that is so pleasing to smell is everywhere, a reminder of the transitory nature of the season and the need to enjoy every last bit of the days ahead.
Your season, as your full-blown beauty is highly commendable, your body is most beauteous overlaid with fashion, the strangeness of your face float to crowd curving a bright yet fragile smile to everyone, springing a small skin of your thigh smooth to stroke and sweet to see with that pleated skirt and those small slenderest hand swaying as you walk by. The men in the room admire you only from a distance, not up close. You set the line to everyone, gaining respect than being schemed. They can tell the chastity in your presence.
You slide your suede shoulder bag to your table, twisting your swivel task chair to observe the beauty outside checking your favorite tree that changed color from a picture window. "Another day to celebrate", you say to yourself. You always see the beauty in everything; you always thought that avoiding conflicts in your every action will turn things better. In every decision, you were always careful, so innocent about the dark side of the world can become.
Today is such a peaceful Friday morning, not until you smell that very familiar summer-centric scent that feels full and sophisticated. "Here he is", you said to yourself, unlock your computer, open your office paint and start doodling line and circles, trying to make you look busy.
"Good morning! How are you? As he greeted everyone knocking every cubicle he passes by in the room. Vigorous as he is as usual. Mark, the rich son of the proprietor you are working at is now surrounded by all men in the room boasting about his newly acquired Maserati that he will drive on tonight's party.
His eyes were on you all the time as he keeps babbling about tonight's party that the company prepare as treat for everyone for another year of good work, an opportunity to "bond build community" as he used to convince his father to approve this party. Little did you know what lies ahead. After all the attention he got, he finally gets the chance to go near you. He immediately grabs his phone from his right pocket and dial a number.
On the other side, you heard your phone ringing, you grab your bag and look for your phone and in surprise, you saw the number you know who. That person who is already in front of you, peeking on your phone.
"I thought you lost your phone, I'm glad that it looks fine and working" He sarcastically remark while smirking.
"I didn't get any response from my messages to you so I personally went here to know if everything's ok, and maybe this is what you prefer, right Rei?" he asked while he abruptly sit his half butt on your table taking one of your colorful pens neatly sitting on a pinkish monogram personalized pen organizer your friend gave you. You're only observing his every action, thinking of what excuse you'll use this time.
You fake a smile saying, "Ohh I didn't get any, maybe no reception! I think I need to change carriers...". Then your eyes back to what you are working. He returns the pen he picked earlier stand up and face you, his both hands on your table and leaning a bit closer to your face trying to get your eyes back on his. You let out a small sigh before facing him again.
"Alright", he says still doing an eye contact with you. Looks very tricky. He gave another smirk and ask,
"Aren't you excited about tonight?,..Coz I am...Very EXCITED!", he continues. You know from then; he was up to something when you notice him grinning like a Cheshire cat after saying those words. Partly, this has reflected a caution of what lies ahead. He always been consistent asking you out, he always fails but he never forced you. Your eyes just followed his gestures as he stands straight put his two hands inside his side pockets and speak
