Jimin trying to walk faster to catch up with his Boss.

“Then, why didn’t you tell her yet?” Jimin asked

“Coz something more important came up” Jungkook replied walking on his big steps playing with his friend.

“Goodness, of course, but I mean, there is after that, right?” he pressed the elevator button going up.

“Yeah, but we are still busy with more important stuffs” He responded smiling stepping inside.

“What? So, you guys just fuck and didn’t talk?” he continue asking.

“We do but in a different way” he said checking his phone from his pocket.

“You… are unbelievable” Jimin roll his eyes and just follow him inside the office.

‘Still trying to pick up the confidence to share with her what I just learned but from my head to my heart then waking up on her bed is too much to grasp, so, I decided not to tell her yet. I wanted to enjoy the taste of luck for having her.’

“Everyone’s been informed about the event this weekend?” he asked changing the topic.

“Couture’s Carnival?” he answered “Actually, the team knew about it already even before I send the invitation.” He continued.

“Yeah? They’re excited huh!” he smirked.

“Are you going to bring Rei as your date?” he asked that makes his boss stop from what he is doing and looked at him.

“I think it is best to let her feel free and be with her friends and meet new people.” He spoke

“Alright”. Jimin respond.

For every three massive, two-floor, fluorescent-lit eateries in Koreatown, there is one restaurant that is small and wooden. This small K-town restaurant is perennially packed: It’s full of fabulously fiery grub. The scene is as raucous as its food is satisfying reason why most of your celebratory party happened in this place. The project was a huge success and so Jungkook treat the team once again. You are sitting next to Jimin while giggling at Lia and Beak who is sitting next to each other doing their usual cute routine when drinking.

“What time is boss coming?” Soobin asked

“I don’t know, he isn’t replying to my messages”. Jimin responded

“In about 5” You answered together with Jimin.

Everyone looked at you confused. You didn’t think much of answering a simple question but receiving their reaction makes you realized that they may not understand how you knew his whereabout while Jimin isn’t getting any reply from him.

You smiled at them and said “I mean he should be here soon”.

“Yes I can feel that he’s nearby” Lia helped you so everyone can play along.

“No, I think he is here in 5..4..3..” Soobin playing along.

“I bet in 10” Baek placed his bet and everyone started playing and betting on his arrival.

You sigh and laugh with them while Jimin is smiling at you. He knew his friend doesn’t like the idea of reporting his whereabout and he hates texting but that isn’t a surprised to him, he knew for sure how love can change a person’s old habit.

You stand in your sit and went outside when you received a call from Jungkook.

“Hi pretty” he said the moment you pick the call.

“Hi, where are you now?” you asked in shy voice.

“In your right babe” he said and you looked and found him waving his hand. You both walk and meet halfway.

“Hi again” you said.

“Can I have you for a minute?” he asked and you nod. He holds your hand and you both walk not too far from the restaurant. He stopped right where the light post was.

“I wanted to have a little quiet time with you before I get in there.” He spoke.

You giggle and hold his hand tighter “They are all excited to see you, they are waiting”.

“And you?” he asked looking at you.

“No, coz I can’t drink how much I wanted.” You complain.

“Wow, I never complain even once, right?” he responded

“Yah, I know but the way you stare at me every time I’ll drink my glass is like telling me to stop. I hope you can see how you exactly looked like.” You continue complaining.

He smirked and make a cute face placing His both hands on his coat pocket and come closer to hug you.

“You looked cold, I’m sorry to keep you out this long” he said trying to get the chance to touch you. He missed holding you coz at work, he can’t be this sweet and clingy. Even at times, that he asked you in his office, someone will knock and disturb you.

“Can you get the box in my left pocket?” he asked

“But your hand is in there already?” you said

“Yes, but I’m busy hugging you. Please” he asked again. You did what he asked you and take out a box from it. “Open it”

You open the box and find a gold round necklace. You look at him and he smirked and take the necklace out from the box and put it on you.

“Is this how you give token to your employee?” you asked still confused.

“Can you not think of it as a gift from your boyfriend?” he looked portraying that he is mad.

Your cheeks turned red after hearing what he said. You try to hide your thrilled self but you can’t help but smile at it, you become excited and enthusiastic and his pretentious emotion changed to a bright smile.

Walking slowly back to the restaurant, feeling the gentle cold breeze touching your heated face, the breeze of nature stirring in your soul, the sound of his footsteps and his gaze at your back it was felt all the way through you. Every heart beat electrifies your body, he is like a sweet and gentle wind kissing the blushing leaf, this feeling is too much but you have to contain it. You were surprised by his sudden move by pulling your arms back to the dark small alley you passed by. Hiding into the darkness from the shadow of the cloud yet his brown glimmering eyes shines clear looking to your deep soul.

“Kook” you whispered and his gaze move to your lips.

“Just five seconds” and he gently places his warm lips to yours and that moment of awe sparked by this kiss silenced the world.

“Rei where have you been? I know your style you can’t escape from drinking, here.” Baek gave you a glass of beer.
That bright glow you have after the kiss is still visible when you get back to your sit. You received a glass of beer from Baek and drink half of it in thought that it may help you feel relaxed. Jimin noticed your flushed cheeks, a telltale sign that his friend is outside. He stands from his sit to move and leave some space. Lia noticed this and wonder what might be the reason. Her apprehension to the situation was filled when the boss came in just a minute after your returned and is now sitting next to you and Jimin. The boys started cheering and serving Jungkook with drinks and food.

“You alright?” Lia asked and you nod your head. The alcohol makes your blushed cheeks more visible. She smiled on her sit and stretched her hand for a toast.

“It looks pretty Rei” Lia said pointing at the necklace dangling while you are washing your hand.

“Oh, thank you” you answered while wiping your hand dry.

“He really likes you” Lia continued.

“Huh?”

She laughed and look at you “Come on Rei, I knew you and boss are a thing”

You frowned and looked shy.

“You go out from the restaurant without it and came back wearing it then Jungkook came and he sits next to you and….” Lia trying to sound like a detective catching a culprit.

“Ok..ok..ok..Jeez” you said then you smile at her.

“Yeeeeeeeee! I know I’m right, oh my Rei I’m so happy for you” she excitedly said.

“And how are you?” you asked

“Me? What do you mean?

“You and Baek?”

“What? Don’t make me laugh Rei”

“I am not, I’m serious. Listen, Lia, your eyes are very keen in seeing small details at work same as how you found out about….us but when it comes to yourself you seem obnoxious to feel the person who really likes you. Try to open your eyes real wide to see other people other than your crush”

“And you said Baek, he is just a friend, he isn’t even……” she started thinking and realized that he is always with her despite being mean to get her attention he always been acting like a secret wooer.

“See, come on, they are waiting” you said dragging her outside the restroom.
“Goodnight, guys, see you, Rei which way you going?” Soobin asked

“Come on Soobin, I need someone to help me carry this bag, I think I am drunk” Jimin drag him away from you.

“He still doesn’t get it, right?” Lia said looking at you and Jungkook.

“Goodnight Lia, I’ll see you tomorrow” you said smiling at her and signaled her through your eyes to look at Baek who is standing waiting at the corner.

“Tsk, alright, I see you tomorrow” she said walking straight passing at Baek.

She keeps on walking without even looking behind, even if she knew that Baek is following her. He isn’t saying a word or making a sound. She curiously turned back and face him who is seriously walking towards her.

“Why didn’t you go straight home?” she asked irritated.

“Nah, I’m going this way too” he said

“Stop, you always do this when you’re drunk” Lia said crossing her arms.

“I’m not drunk” he replied.

“Then why are you being nice to me every time we drink?” She complains.

“I’m always nice to you Lia”

“You are incongruent to your words and you are mean to me but every time I asked you for help you are always free to help even on a weekends and late hours and you tell me everything that you didn’t say to anybody else. You are even territorial to me, you always sit beside me and offer me whatever. You said you are not interested in a relationship and here you are again treating me like…..” she stopped from there after realizing all the things she said are signs a guy who is interested in a woman.

“Treating you like?” he asked letting her say everything she wants to say.

“Whatever” Lia turn around attempting to walk away but she was stopped. He holds her hand and walk in front of her. “Say it, why can’t you say it?”

“No”

“Don’t you want to know the answer to your questions?” he asked

“Whatever, you always make me angry” she said rolling her eyes.

He smirked “Are you angry because I make you feel confused or because I’m too slow to confess how I feel?”

She looked at him almost crying. “Why are you crying?” he asked

“I hate you” she said covering her face.

“I like you” he replied. She slightly lowered her hand to see his face to confirm if she heard him right. He uncovers her face by grabbing both hands down and smiled at her.

“Stop crying now please, I don’t mean to make you cry on our first day” he said

She stopped and hit him in his chest. He pulled her and hugged her tightly.

“I still hate you” she said then he kissed him on her forehead. She looked at him and they both smile.

He got you a personal driver for tonight, he initiated this term even if you don’t like the idea, but he won’t let you win when it comes to things like this. He will always get what he wanted.

You arrived at the place and find the rest of the team at the lobby, Lia is wearing a beautiful white backless midi dress, while boys are in their black suit, Baek looks like a model in his Printed Acetate tux while Soobin looks like a mature man in his Technical single-breasted tux.

The glam and glitz are undeniable in this ball. Everyone looks like a royalty in sight, you all looked fascinated by the décor plus the famous painting of this event are artistically hanged and placed. Jungkook saw you as you entered, he walked towards you as fast as he could but everything slows down appreciating him in his tux that was exquisitely cut and a perfect match for his suave manners. That is sharp-looking and well fitted, something that makes you feel a bit nervous. He looks really handsome and when he smiled, it was a little bit magical.

“Hi beautiful” he whispered in your ears.

“Hey handsome” you replied smiling back at him.

“Good evening boss” everyone greeted Jungkook.

“You all look great, Jimin will assist you in our table, let’s have some fun tonight alright?” then he excuses himself to talk to meet the other executives.

“Hey pretty” You looked behind and saw Jimin.

“Jimin, hey” you said admiring him in his black Kent Velvet tux. Everyone looks at their best tonight. No wonder why they are so excited for this to come.

“Our table is going to be at the front, should be here” he said stopping at the round table at the front row.

“Raven?” a familiar voice called you and make you turned your look at your left. Your jaw dropped and gradually turned to a smile when you recognized the man whose hair is longer than the first time you’ve seen him. He’s smiling back to you and hugged you.

“Oh Hi Mr Lee” you greeted him surprised with the hugging part.

“I knew it, I knew I’ll see you here again” he said excitedly. He has a mysterious eye. He has monolids, which lends his slanted eyes sharpness. When he smiles, he looks so innocent. He just a pretty man that even if he’s smiling or in his serious manner, he is just simply handsome.

Jungkook who is with the other business owners saw the whole scene. He excused himself and walk towards you.

“Joon” Jungkook greeted him.

“Hey, my man.” Mr Lee greeted back and do a friendly hand shake.

“Looks like you finally meet each other” he continued.

Both looked at each other and looked back at him confused and he looked puzzled too with how you two reacted.

“Have you met Rei before?” asked Jungkook.

“Yes, wait, is this the first time you meet?” He asked you both.

“No, she’s working in my company as my Video Game Artists” Jungkook responded.

“So,…” Joon Gi just looked at Rei confused.

“Good evening, ladies and gentlemen!” the host walked in front and open the ceremony.

“Mr Lee, it’s time” said the man in blue hair assisting Joon to come up stage.

“Excuse me, I’ll talk to you again” Mr lee said before he walked away from your table.

“The Galaxy of intellectuals, how different is this evening. Indeed, very wonderful. The vibes around tell a beautiful tale, which is truly unforgettable. Dear audience, you will yourself discover as the colors of this event embellish us all together. Well, I, Cutt shall be your host for the night….” And the host continue to introduce the special guests and the person behind this gala Mr Joon Lee. He greeted every guest with his warm smile and invite everyone to raise their glasses for a toast for another good year.

“Everyone, I am very excited to show you what our team has prepared for you all. I hope you’ll have the best time inside. Let me bring you to the other side, and the door will be open in 3,2,1” as soon as Mr. Lee clap his hand, the divider from this room to the other opened. Everyone was amazed by the colorful light that was noticed first revealing what’s hiding behind that door. Excitedly, people started walking inside the room. It is astonishing in scale, breathtakingly imaginative, and a completely new look at the Master's work. A perfect opportunity you imagine walking beside the man you love; you turn to look for Jungkook yet you’ve seen him being taken by Mr Lee going to the other side of the hall and Jimin was nowhere to be found at that moment. Someone holds your hand and pull you away from the table, as you turn your head forward, you saw Lia smiling at you.

“Come on, he’ll follow soon” she said. You smiled and walked together with the rest.

You release a big sigh, before entering the room, every detail, every light, astonished you. You didn’t notice your friends already walking fast excitedly wanting to explore what else inside, you were left in the middle of the room, appreciating the beauty of the show.

“Beautiful indeed” said the man who stand beside you.

“Right?” you responded and looked at your right. The excitement inside you transformed to shocked after learning who the man was.

“What are you doing here?” you asked him.

“I feel jealous, you never wore this exposed in front of me” he smirked looking at your legs from the slit of the dress.

You huffed and walked away from him but he stopped you as he blocked your way from getting ahead of you.

“Do you want me to make a scene here?” you said warning him.

“Not necessary, I am going out in this place quietly…” he said

“Good” then you try to walk away from him again when he continued “…with you”

“You never learned, aren’t you? You know you’ll never get what you want” you said irritably.

He nods his head and take his phone out and said “Yeah because I am being considerate before, but not this time honey” he showed you a photo from his phone for a second then put it back in his pocket.

You looked at him dazed and when the image finally processed in your head, it agitates you more. He walked near you and whispered “If you want her safe, you will walk with me nicely out in this room and just to warn you before you scream, I instructed my man that if I don’t call him at exactly eight, he can do whatever he wants with her” he said smirking.

You looked at the time and its 7:56pm. “You’re evil” you said to him.

“After you, my lady” he said and you walked outside the room.

Before you stepped in at the revolving door exiting the building, you checked the time from the big wall clock on top of the door and its 7:59pm. You asked him “How will I know if you really have her and if she is safe?”

He brings his phone out of his pocket and dialed a number. “Hey, how’s the girls” he asked the man from the other line and hand you over the phone. You hear a voice screaming for help and another voice cursing and you recognized their voices. “You even have Jisoo? How could you…” you said shaking. He took the phone back and dropped the call.

“Satisfied? If we don’t move right now, I can’t guarantee their safety, so we better move?” he said pushing you slightly to step out from the revolving door.

A black Mercedes Sprinter van stopped at the lobby and Mark immediately open the door.

“I’m sorry sir excuse me” said the man stopping you from getting in the car, you looked and saw Lio. You are about to say a word when he continued and asked “...but all guest who is leaving is supposed to receive a gift from Mr Lee, did you get yours Miss?”

You looked at him trying to act normal but he can see you shaking. You looked back at Mark who is giving you a sign to lie.

“Oh, I didn’t know I…I...”

“I can assist you Miss inside would you mind Mr?” Lio asked

“Come on, no thank you, we don’t need a gift and we are on a hurry, just save it for yourself if you want” Mark responded and pushing your back to get in the car.

“Oh, I’m sorry but it’s a strict rule from the house sir” Lio trying to buy some time.

“Lio! now!”

You heard a loud voice from behind and Lio abruptly grab your hand and bring you to the side covering you and saw Jungkook pushing Mark inside the van and closed the door. Meanwhile, some men run in the driver’s side and bring the driver out. After a few minutes, the van door opened and Jungkook went out slamming the door closed from his behind fixing his suit. He run immediately from where you are. He saw you shaking and hugged you “It’s alright, it’s alright. I’m sorry I should’ve left you” he said. You checked up on him if he got hurt. No words came out of your mouth but you looked very worried at this moment “I’m alright, I should be the one checking if you are ok?” he asked and you nod your head in response.

“Good call Lio, do what you need to do” Jungkook instructed his man while covering you with his suit jacket walking you back in the building.

“No, No, No. Jungkook he has Rosé and Jihyo” you told Jungkook.

“Rei, please you need to calm down” he said brining you into a small room where you can sit.

“No, Jungkook listen, he got Rosé as hostage, I heard her crying for help. Jungkook please, they need help” you pleaded almost crying.

He kneeled down and clear the tiny hairs covering your face and hold your hand “Baby, they are safe.”

“No, Jungkook…” you said crying.

“Jimin went to pick up Rosé, she is safe they’ll be here in a minute” he said.

“How? no, I hear her, I hear them both Jungkook” you still insist.

The door opened and Rosé come running towards you. You stand up and you both hugged each other.

“Oh dear Lord, thank God you are safe” Rosé said.

“What? You are the one in danger earlier Rosé, I don’t understand” you said crying. She wiped your tears and Jihyo slowly enter the room and went down to her knees.

“I’m sorry Rei, I’m really sorry. I’m sorry…sorry. Please forgive me” she said crying.

You looked at Rosé and rolled her eyes. “What is going on here?” you asked and went to help Jihyo to sit in the couch with you.

“Rei, I’m so sorry. It’s all my fault. I’m really sorry” Jihyo crying continuously.

Jimin came in and signaled Jungkook to come outside with him. When he thinks you looked safe and calmer, he went outside and leave you three for a while.

“Tell me Jihyo, what happen? I heard you two from the other line, I don’t understand?” you asked.

“It’s really our voice Rei” Rosé interrupted. You looked back at Jisoo confused.

“How about the picture he showed me, it was you Rosé?” you asked

“That, I don’t know how he did that” Rosé responded.

“He threatened me, I mean JB asked me to call Rosé and pretend that I was kidnapped and ask for help and get recording of both our voices. At first, I didn’t know what is that for, I thought he is just playing around. I asked him why he asked me to do it, and he confessed that they will use it to get back at someone and all I can think of is you, Rei. The picture? I don’t know maybe they paid someone with the same built as her. He told me that if I don’t do as he says he will do the same thing he did to me with Rosé and I don’t want that, so when I get the chance to get away from JB I called Rosé immediately to warn her” then she cries again.

“I really thought that its real, so I keep on cursing him over the phone. I can’t believe this. I’m trying to call you too Rei but you’re not answering, I don’t know Jungkook’s so I called Jimin instead and tell him everything and ask him to warn you and help me save Jihyo” Rosé said.

“What did he do to you Jihyo?” you asked.

She shook her head “I can’t Rei, I don’t want to remember” she said still sobbing.

You hugged her and Rosé hand her a glass of water. “Hush now, you are safe now Jihyo, this time I’ll make sure that they’ll pay for what they did to you, to me and to Rosé.

Jimin and Jungkook heard everything from the other side of the door. This developed anger in response to those men being disrespectful and threatening to their partners. Something they both won’t allow to happen again. Jungkook rush to go outside where he found the Police officers being present and saw Mark in cuffs complaining. Jimin followed him.

A police officer came to asked Jungkook “Sir, he wanted to file complain for physical injury, do you know anything about this?”.

“I’ll sue you; you damn it, I’ll see you in jail” he shouted at Jungkook.

Mr. Lee responded and immediately run to see his friend “Gentleman what’s the matter” he asked.

The officers greeted him and explain the situation.

“Anyone saw who beat this man?” Mr Lee asked the crowd and all of them unanimously say they do not see anything. He even looked at the driver of the van who is in cuff with two officers holding him and he just lower his head and shake it in response that he didn’t know anything as well.

“See, officer, no one know what happen to him or who did that to his face but one thing is for sure, this man ruin my special party and I want him to pay for the damages done in this event. For now, you can bring him to where he should belong officer, I appreciate your help” Mr Lee added.

“I’m sorry Jungkook of what happened? how’s Rei” Mr Lee asked.

“She’s trying to be strong for her friends. As long as she is not hurt same as with her friends but I won’t let this slide this time. This is unacceptable.” Jungkook said clenching his fist.

“I’ll help you in any way I can to keep them inside jail” said Mr Lee.
