Chapter Six

Elle's p.o.v

I looked at my reflection in the mirror and smiled at what I saw. The dress Harry had chosen for me fit perfectly. The material hugged my curves flawlessly and the immaculate detail in the lace pattern was intricate and eye-catching. The hem fell to mid-thigh, accentuating my long legs. My favorite part of the garment was the dropped v in the back, exposing the skin in a fashionable and elegant manner. Although I couldn't wear a bra of any sort, the lining of the dress, the high neckline and the long sleeves were enough for me to feel covered. The overall look of the dress was classy and incredibly sexy.

I put on my earrings and slipped on my black pumps. I had kept my makeup natural for the occasion: subtle bronzed cheeks and a bit of blusher with a nude coloured eye and feathery lashes. My lips were soft and my skin was smooth making me feel confident about my appearance. I put a bit of my favorite Chloe perfume and grabbed my clutch. I was completely ready for this date. 

Mel had graciously let me live at hers for the time being, providing me with a female bathroom and the freedom from Liam's glaring looks. He had not taken my plans particularly well and I couldn't help but feel awkward and uneasy around him. The situation since he caught Harry and I on the studio floor created an unpleasant tension between us. Being able to spend at least one night in a place I could consider more of my own was a pleasant feeling and I had taken full advantage of the luxury of living with my best female friend and her boyfriend. Despite this, guilt from my invasive living nattered at me, especially because of everyone's hospitality. It was one thing living with my best friend; however, the feeling changed drastically when in the presence of a couple. I knew for a fact that somewhere in London, there was a home of my own, but every time I brought up the subject of moving back into my own place, the people around me had brushed off the request as a petty affair.

The butterflies in my stomach fluttered as I made my way down the stairs, greeted by a chime of approval by my friends waiting for me to show. I was showered in complements on my appearance, turning my cheeks a bright red from all the attention I was receiving. The girls had decided to have a night in and watch movies whilst chowing down, much to my disappointment. I was saddened to miss all the fun with the friends I had just started to get to know again, but dinner with Harry seemed too appealing to ever consider turning down.

"You look absolutely gorgeous," Frey cooed as she played with my curls. 

"Harry won’t be able to keep his hands off of you!" Lila added with a cheeky wink. I giggled and covered my face with my hands as to not reveal the deep red my cheeks had turned. 

Right on cue, there was a knock on the door. I retreated down the hall to retrieve my coat from the closet and calm my nerves while they took care of the rest.

"Hi Harry, ready to take me out tonight," I heard Melanie tease from the entrance. Although I couldn't see them, I could only imagine the scene. Harry standing in the doorway with her shamelessly flirting with him, knowing fully well she was in a steady relationship.

"Another night, Mel." Harry's deep laugh echoed as he spoke, "tonight I have a special lady to take out. Perhaps you've seen her?" I closed the door to the closet, coat in hand and finally made myself visible to the man in the entrance waiting to take me out. He looked completely breath taking: a crisp white dress-shirt under his coat and black fitted trousers. His chest muscles were evident under the material and entirely appealing. His chocolate curls were pushed to the side in their usual style and flopped around his face. He looked, for lack of better words, completely delicious. Despite his appearance, I was first to receive a vocal approval.
