  IIDA WAS distraught, confused, and in denial. He was in the hospital with his classmates. Finally, the war was over, and they could rest a bit easier. At least, without Rei. Rei was dead. She killed herself by using her quirk to make her blood explode.

  Iida couldn't help but think about the time they spent together before she was pronounced dead. They studied, they fought, they cooked. They talked. And it was fine. Iida sighed, stepping out from Midoriya's hospital room after talking it out with him, and going to stare out the window.

  Rei liked staring out windows. She said it was a past time she enjoyed. She could observe and grow fond of the world around her without having to move anything but her eyes. Iida found a bit of comfort in it as he looked out. But his eyes trailed to a figure next to him. Near him.

  They had long white hair, ruby red eyes, a small frame, and bandages covering almost their entire body. They looked at Iida blankly, with no expression at all.

  "They cloned my original self..."

 Iida stared at the figure curiously. It looked like her. It almost was her. But she was back to how she was in the beginning.

  She wasn't happy and smiling. She wasn't caring for her classmates and spending time with Iida, talking to him about how she felt haunted about her past.

  But now she was an emotionless husk.

  Rei Ketsueki wasn't human. She was beyond that.
