Sinclair Academy gave another day for the students to have a break and recover from the hostage-taking that happened at the start of the school week.

It was the coverage of the news, locally and internationally.

Theodore would have thought that it was a move for publicity but having heard that the gunman was tasked to retrieve something from the school, it was a clear sign that someone involved with Jade's family had been keeping a secret inside the school premises and those other people wanted to get a hold of whatever it was.

Money was probably what it was.

"So, where should we go today?" JP asked as they ate their brunch.

Theodore placed the glass he was drinking from. "We're going out today?"

"We don't have any classes so might as well use the free day to hang out," he said before taking a bite from his meatloaf. "We can go out with Haze and his roommate."

"I don't want to go out though."

"Come on, Theo," JP clasped his hands together in front of his friend. "I want to check Cerise's amusement parks or something."

"Then go with Mercer and his roommate."

"But I want to go-"

The ringtone from Theodore's phone interrupted whatever JP wanted to whine about. Holding up a finger, Theodore took his phone out of his pajama's pocket and answered a call from none other than Kieran.

"Hi, mom," Theodore acted like he was talking to his mom just so his friend won't get suspicious.

"Since when did I have a uterus?" Kieran replied then yelled an 'Ow' and said, "I know what he meant, Fino! Move your face away from me, you weirdo." Theodore pictured Fino trying to listen to their call by pressing his ear to the back of his brother's phone. "You're with your friend, then?"

"Yes."

"Well, tell your friend that you're going out," Kieran said.

"What?" Theodore asked, his voice raising a bit that it made JP look at him in wide eyes, waiting to be filled in with their conversation. "Really, mom?" he tried saving himself. "Do I really have to?"

"Yeah, you do. Someone told us that Young Miss is going to the mall to unwind. Reverie Burroughs has some other place to go with her family and Young Miss refused to join them."

"Okay, I'm listening, tell me more," Theodore said as a way for Kieran to tell him the specific details.

Fortunately, Kieran understood. "Someone from our team will.wait for Young Miss outside the Burroughs' house to act as a taxi cab driver then he will send her location to the other agent that will be waiting outside your apartment. His car is also a cab so your friend wont get confused."

"What time are you going to the market, mom?"

"Time?" Kieran asked. "Just get ready after this call. I'll send you a message once she'is already out."

"Alright. Got it, mom. Take care!"

"Take care, my son," Kieran joked and laughed from the other libe. Theodore could even hear another person laughing with him. He bet it was Fino. Those two bodyguards realy act unprofessional at times.

Annoyed, Theodore ended the call abruptly.

"What did Aunt Iris say?"

"She suggested that we should go out." Even though Iris called him yesterday after hearing the news, and specifically told him not to go out unless it's school related.
