Chapter Five

"Taehyung… leave… leave me!" You choked and tears gathered up on the surface of your eyes as you couldn't breathe.

Taehyung instead clenched his jaws and tightened his grips around your neck, making you slap his hand continuously to free yourself. "Please… leave…"

"Min Y/n… you are crossing your limits now! First you fcking dared to kill my sister and now you're blaming my parents that it's them who killed Taeri? I so fcking badly want to punish this daring mouth of yours!" Taehyung pulled you closer to him, his fingerprints around your neck already leaving a bluish mark.

"Taehyung… I didn't kill her! Trust me!" You managed to scold him, your face turned red due to lack of intake of air and thankfully he pushed you away from him. "You better not let me see this ugly face of yours again! If I see you around me or my family again, I swear it's gonna be your last day!" He warned before leaving from there, making you stare at his back with tears in your eyes.

You quickly took in heavy breaths to calm yourself and sighed before rubbing your neck, which was aching after his assualt.

"Why did I even try to explain anything to him? He won't listen to me. I need to prove him wrong. I don't even have the time of a month now! How can I do this?" You slumped your shoulders before making your way back to your house.

Next few days went just like that, with you still trying to find any clue that can prove that it was Taehyung's parents who killed Taeri, but nothing was in your hands or your side. You asked Mina too, but she also couldn't get a solid proof that could save you from the life-impresonment that was waiting for you.

The court gave you a month to prove yourself innocent, but one week had passed and you still had nothing in your hands. You maintained a good distance from Taehyung because he didn't attend the college for the last week. He didn't show up for classes or anything.

In the meantime, you ended up having a good friend by your side, Jungkook.

Even though he was your junior, he was a good company. At least he didn't judged you like others even after getting to know gossips about you being a murderer.

Right now you were in a restaurant with Jungkook, who actually dragged you in the breaktime because he wasn't ready to eat the same boring lunch in the canteen, so he dragged you along in a restaurant. "Shit! Why did I even come here? If I knew this freaking 5 star restaurant would be giving such bland noodles, I would have instead eaten at the canteen only! This is too greasy!"
You chuckled looking at Jungkook who scrunched his brows in disgust after slurping in the noodles.

"Here, try these. This tastes pretty fine." You pushed the bowl of porridge towards him that you ordered for yourself. Without hesitating, Jungkook took the spoon you used and drank the porridge and let out his signature *uhm* with his signature angry face, whenever he felt the food was very tasty.

You chuckled, not minding to remind him that he used your already used spoon. It was fine and you didn't want him to feel awkward too.

"Uhm, what about that case? Did you got any proof?" Jungkook touched the topic, after noticing your lost expression. "Tell me if I can help in any way…" he smiled warmly, making you smile too.

"Y/n… I actually wanted to ask you something…" Jungkook kept the spoon on the tissue paper and rubbed his hands awkwardly before looking at you. You raised your brows and was about to ask him what he wanted to ask, but you heard someone, very familiar, calling you from the door of the restaurant.

"Min Y/n!" You almost flinched, not just you, other people who were present in the restaurant, too flinched and glanced at the man who stood stiff like an army officer on the door, looking at you with a glare in his eyes. Everyone curiously glanced between you and him, making you feel uncomfortable.
