Chapter Eight

"What next now? Are you sure that Jungkook might be able to get some proof with those cameras?" You were now standing outside your apartment after Taehyung dropped you there. As it was already late at night, he didn't wanted to let you go alone. You too didn't felt like going alone so you agreed to let him drop you home.

"Right now, we can only trust Jungkook. We have to wait for atleast two days. After two days, only when he will be able to get some proofs, we'll be able to prove you innocent. Just, don't let Mina know that we already know about her." Taehyung pursed his lips as if out of words.

You nodded your head before looking up at him again, "Then I'll go back first." Taehyung silently nodded his head and you turned around slowly to leave.

Just when you were about to open the door, Taehyung called out for your name, "Y/n! Wait!" You immediately turned around, only to find him running over to you. "What?" You mumbled confusedly.

Taehyung looked at you before rummaging through the large pockets of his black coat. His fiddling eyes paused as he finally found the thing he was looking for and took it out from his pocket. "Here." You glanced at the platinum pearly blue bracelet that seemed quite familiar to you.
"This… isn't this Taeri's bracelet?" Your eyes slowly moved up from the hanging bracelet in front of your face to Taehyung's dark, misty eyes.

He pursed his lips and nodded his head silently, moving his hands more closer towards you. "Why are you giving it to me?" You were confused, yet a little curious as to why he would want to give this to you.

"This… this is the last thing I have that belonged to Taeri. You can keep it with yourself after I-" your brows scrunched in confusion as he suddenly paused in his sentence.

As if sensing your confusion, he took out a pendrive from his another pocket and kept it directly in your palm. "This is… it's the CCTV footage of our campus. Everything I did to you is recorded in this video. After Mina will be handed to the prison, you can use these videos as a proof to file a case against… against me…" Shock took over the confused expression on your face and you looked at him blankly.

"Y/n… without any solid proof, on the basis of what I saw, I filed a case against you and send you to prison. Later when you were released, I made your life worst than hell. I abused you. I almost harassed you…" he gulped a large lump that formed in his throat as he again halted before looking up in your eyes. "You were punished when you did nothing. I have done so many wrong things to you, I should be punished too…" he nodded his head, looking in your eyes without any emotional expression.

"Please use these videos as a proof to file a case against me of abusing you mentally and physically… I am ready to take all the punishments that should be given to me.." your heart thudded in your chest loudly when you noticed the rims of his eyes filling up with sparkly tears while he tried hard to look anywhere but at you.

You have senses his apology, his guilt, his sorrow right away when he told you everything. You knew he was guilty for the way he behaved with you.

And you knew he should be punished, so he won't repeat this mistake with others in the future. But, right at this moment, you didn't knew how you should react. Should you accept this pendrive and later file a case against him? Or should you forgive him just like that?

Sensing your silence, Taehyung decided not to pressure you more. He reached out to keep the bracelet in your hands and then turned around, before silently walking back to his car.

You kept staring at his back until he sat inside the car and drove away. Your hands clenched the pendrive and bracelet tightly inside your fist.
