Rain Rises On A Sunny Day

Last Minute

It's finally reached the final week of the competition. Rainey has been working very hard throughout the month of November. The Rangel family wakes up full of energy. Rachel walks to Rainey's room and hears Rainey listening to music as he gets ready.

She opens the door and says, "Looks like you're in a good mood!"

Rainey replies, "Of course. This is the last week of the competition!"

Rachel then asks, "Is your drawing finished?"

Rainey answers, "All I have to do is color, and I'll be finished."

Rachel smiles and says, "I'm very proud of you!" She then walks off.

After Rainey gets ready he grabs his colored pencils and puts them in his backpack. He is set on finishing the coloring process today.

Rainey arrives at school and immediately pulls out his drawing in class. He colors all first period. He is careful about the process. Making slow pencil strokes. He cannot afford to mess up. He stays purely focused on his coloring. He plans to do this for all his classes today. He makes it into his second-period class and starts the process again. He continues to color until he realizes something. He forgot to use the restroom this morning. His leg begins to shake intensely as his bladder is about to explode.

Rainey asks the teacher, "Can I please go to the restroom?"

Mrs.Jenkie says, "Yes but make it quick."

Rainey rushes to the restroom. He gets into the restroom and goes to the first open urinal. He begins to let out the best stream of his life.

As this is going on the bullies in the back look at each other and begin to conversate.

Rylan whispers to Zayne, "Look at that on the fags desk."

Zayne replies, "Looks like something important to him. He has been focused on it all class."

Titus says, "I heard there is an art competition or something."

Zayne has a smirk on his face and says, "Rylan go get that shit."

As Mrs. Jenkies' back is turned Rylan quickly walks to Rainey's desk and grabs the artwork. He brings it back to his desk and the three take a look at it.

Zayne is impressed by Rainey's art and says, "This is actually pretty good-looking."

Titus laughs and says, "What are you gay now or something?'

Zayne looks at him with this mad look and says, "Shut your fat ass up. I can't state that his art is good or what?"

Titus says nervously, "Chill bro it's only a joke."

Zayne replies, "It better be. Watch your damn mouth next time."

Titus just sits back and doesn't let another word out.

Rainey finishes using the restroom and heads back to class. As he enters the class. The three bullies are staring at him smiling maliciously. Rainey sees them staring in his peripheral vision. He doesn't understand why they are smiling.

He begins to think to himself, "What did they do? What are they planning?"

Rainey gets to his desk and his heart drops to his stomach. He stares at his empty desk. He begins to turn his head to look at the three bullies.

They are smiling right at him. Zayne begins to pull up Rainey's art piece. Rainey won't let out a word. Then Zayne slowly rips the paper in half. Rainey sits there in shock for a few seconds. He can't let out the words to tell them to stop. Zayne then puts the two halves in a stack and rips it again.
