That week ago, which seems like it had been forever the incident happened, I still remember the note and how it was smudged.

I figured I needed to find the truth. Or else my life would stay with this.. Person, or maybe it's not a person as I thought it was.

What am I thinking? I'm not a superstitious person, and never will be. It had to be a person, but if it wasn't a person, what could it be? Yeah. Not a person.

After all the clatter and buzz, we arrived home.

I quickly went to my room, and then I started shutting the door while trying to figure out a way to put on my socks while locking the door.

Afterwards when I already put on my socks, I changed my clothing with sudden haste. I didn't know why I was rushing- but my gut told me it would be better to do so.

I slid down on the edge of my bed, then sighed loudly. Suddenly, I heard my mother and father call out to me outside my door.

"Sweetie, when your sisters come back from the party they attended, could you tell them that we'll have to go on a business trip when they come back?" Mother said to me with a comforting tone.

I softly replied, "Alright Mom." to her, then felt a bit.. Lonely.

"Didn't you and Dad just go on a business trip two weeks ago?" I said with an uncertain tone. I twirled my fingers together in a rhythm that I heard a few weeks ago.

She softly made an exhale. "Yes, but i'm afraid we'll need to go again. I'm really sorry we couldn't stay as long as a month as we promised.." she said to me.

"We won't be going now, it's too close to the incident we had earlier, but we'll be heading out tomorrow afternoon." She tried with an assuring tone.

I remembered my school event- the camping trip that I had to attend in two days. "Who will take me to the camping trip then?" I questioned.

The woman paused for a second or so, then talked again. "Well, your eldest sister could take you I suppose, but she won't stay for long. I hope you can behave yourself on the camping trip, I trust the tour guide to instruct you what to do." After she finished, I knew it was pointless to argue.

Abruptly, an idea started assembling in my head. Since the camping spot was quite close to the Northern Mangold Rangers station, I could see what they were hiding there! It's a perfect opportunity..

But in order to explore the forest, you had to have another classmate go with you. And I didn't want to interact with anyone.

Well, I wanted to put this silhouette accident to an end, didn't I? I'd be assigned with a random classmate that I wouldn't know about though.. Still, I don't think I would let that stop me.

My mother cleared her throat, drawing my attention back to her. "I hope you understand, Alyra.." she murmured gently to me.

Enthusiastically, I began to reply. But I made sure not to sound too forward to it, otherwise she'd find me suspicious. "I do understand, you and father are busy people.. It's fine, I guess Courtney can take me."

The woman sighed a breath of relief, then said with a slightly happy tone since it seemed I understood their reason, "That's good to hear that you understand, I wouldn't want to leave you without an explanation."
