Chapter 16: Myra

I hurried down the sterile looking white marble hallway to the elevator.
Pressing the down button. The White cage like doors closed.
The elevator began to move with a jolt I began to feel uneasy the feeling growing with every second.
What if he isn't dead... What if I missed ? Would I be punished? Oh god.
The elevator arrived at the lowest ground basement 5 the hallway was different down here it smelt and looked like a hospital rather than a grand marble hall like the rest of the building.
At the end of the hall there was a sign saying reception and a thin blonde woman was sitting behind the desk glancing down the hall at me.
"Can I help you?" She asked peering over her white framed glasses
"Myra Gordan." I stated my name.
"Oh my! Miss Gordan I'm so very sorry for not recognising you eminently." She hung her head in shame clearly flustered.
"Never mind now. Just let me in please." I snapped
"May I ask what for miss?" She asked quietly
I looked at her, my eyes speaking for me. She flushed and picked up a little camera that flashed in my eyes.
"Oh uh here's an all access pass it lasts 30 minuets and it's not needed to get out." She said
I took the key card my photo was on the front.
Scanned it and headed through the door.
The hallway was very hospital like all sterile white and cold.
Walking down the hall i glanced into every room i was now at an intersection and I didn't know if I should go right or left glancing up at the signs I turned right and continued hurriedly down the hallway. I stopped and took a deep breath as I got where I wanted.
The doors where heavy and very secure and the sign above it was hard and cold in red writing it said.
