We were on our last honeymoon day in Miami. The next day we would have to go to the airport and fly back to Russia.

It was raining, so we decided to stay in bed. The sky was a beautiful shade of dark gray, the city lights' reflections dancing in the puddles as Dima held me close. "So what are we gonna do?"

"Hmm, what if we stay like this? Or we can watch TV. Or we can do something more interesting..."

He sat up, grinning. "I'm listening."

I laughed, then said, "I don't know if we have any condoms though..."

"We don't need them," said Dima as his hands fidgeted. They always did that whenever he thought about sex. "No, baby, I'll go to the store across the street." He frowned, squinting at me. "Are you sure?"

"Yes."

"But we're married... and it's not like you're gonna get pregnant or a disease."

"Dim, please, just wait for me to come back..." He nodded, smiling. I know I should've told him why, but we can talk about that later.

When I walked into the store the lady at the cash register stared at me. "Are you Sergey Lazarev? " She asked in perfect Russian.

"Yes! Do you speak Russian? "

"A little bit. After I saw your videos I thought I might learn. Do you speak English? I can't say anything else."

I smiled. "Yes, I speak English. How long did it take you to learn that?" She blushed. "4 months."

"4 months? Wow. When I was learning English all I could say for a year was "Hi" and "How are you?"." She laughed, smiling. "What brings you to Miami? Is your fiance with you?" I let out a chuckle, looking across the street. "My husband  and I are on our honeymoon. I came for condoms," I explained, seeing the surprise on her face. "Oh my god, that's what those tuxedo videos were!"

"Yes, bitch!" We laughed a bit more before I bought the condoms. "So how long will you be in Miami?" She asked nicely as she scanned the box. "Oh, we're leaving tomorrow." She raised an eyebrow, then looked at the box again. "Alright, your total will be $7.99," She smiled again, looking up at me. I handed her the money and took the bag before asking, "Do you want a picture?"

Her eyes lit up as she nodded. She grabbed her phone and came to the other side of the register. "Oh, hey, what's your name?"

"Mary."

"Well, Mary, it was nice to meet you."

She took the picture, then stared at her phone screen for a few seconds. "Thank you so much! Enjoy the rest of your stay!"

"Thanks," I waved as I left the shop then pulled out my umbrella, looking back to see her smiling. When I got back to the room I saw Dima on the bed half-naked, waiting for me. "Sorry I made you wait so long, babe, but I'm back now..." He sat up, smirking at me. "Alright, but let me open the box first," He frowned, making me laugh. "The cashier was a fan," I told him as I started opening the box. I fumbled with it for a minute which frustrated Dima. "Here, let me see it." He ripped it open, then pulled one out.

"Why'd it take you so long?"

"Baby, it's your job to open condoms."

"Ok, ok, I understand. Now can we have sex?" He asked with the same frown on his face. "Fuck yeah." I straddled his hips as he pulled me into a kiss, the both of us feeling hot as the room became stuffy. He pulled off my shirt in one smooth movement, then left kisses and small bites on my neck. "Hey, be careful, my neck is still sore from the other day," I said quietly as I messed with his belt. "Sorry baby," Dima whispered, leaning in to kiss me again.

The Next Day

I held his hand as he unlocked the door to our house with the other, excited to enter as a married couple. I took a step forward before he put his hand in front of me to stop me. "We're gonna do this right," Dima said before he picked me up in his arms with a big smile. I started laughing as we entered the new house, the same house we had lived in together for the past 6 months, the house Dima's lived in for years, but it was completely different now. It wasn't the house an unmarried gay couple, a kid and a cat lived in, it was the house of a family.

We were happy in the silence,  just talking through small looks as he carried me through the house. It was Sunday morning, the clocks read 08:35, so we knew Nikita would be up soon. Dima put me down on the bed when we reached our bedroom, then I broke the silence with a question.

"Dim, is this real?"

He smiled as he sat on the bed with me, reaching to hug me. "I hope so, cause I'd be very disappointed to wake up and find out this past week was all a dream..." He kissed me softly, the both of us desperately hoping everything was reality. We heard a door open, immediately knowing my mother woke up. "Hey Mom," I said as I got up to hug her. "Thank you so much for housesitting, babysitting and petsitting," I glared at Dima, both of them laughing. "It was no trouble, I enjoyed staying with my grandson and a cat he loves very much," She said the last part with a bit of laughter. "I told him we can put Solomon in a kennel, but he insisted he stay with you and Nik."

"Kennels are cruel."

I laughed, shaking my head with a smile. "Are you sure you don't want me to pay you?"

"No, no, I'm sure. I'm gonna go now, goodbye," She hugged Dima before hugging me again, a smile of awe on her face as she saw me with my husband. "Bye Mom! Again, thank you so much for watching everyone," I said while waving as she walked to her car. "It was my pleasure! Oh, tell Dima a cat came around meowing so I've been feeding him everyday. If he comes back do what you want with him."

"That's Baton, a stray Dima treats as his baby."

We laughed and chatted for a bit before she actually left. I went to the bedroom to see Dima and Nikita petting Solomon. "So you're like my second dad?" Nikita asked as he looked up at Dima

"Well, I'm your stepdad. That's your dad."

I smiled as they looked over at me. "Hey Nik. Did you have fun with grandma?"
